    Pros +

    • Location and cleanliness
    • Free noodle at night and clean room and spa
    • I liked that it is basically connected to Koriyama Station via overpass. The place was clean. The onsen was the highlight of my visit, it was clean and well-maintained. They even give out free ice cream and yoghurt drink after you use the onsen! The staff are all nice and helpful.

    Cons -

    • Rooms are small but that is to be expected in Japan
    • There was only 1 pillow, so it was a little bit uncomfortable. The breakfast starts at around 6:30 although the first bus to the airport leaves at 6:00, so be careful when including breakfast in your booking.
    • I wish Onsen floor open till 10 am instead of 9am when check out time is 11am.

Location was great. Loved Onsen and tatami room was so roomy.

I wish Onsen floor open till 10 am instead of 9am when check out time is 11am.

The Dormy Inn Koriyama is close enough to the station, which is why I made the reservation; in addition, it is below average price of many hotel chains in Japan.

The room was small, even for Japan standards. If you are traveling with friends, you might want to consider getting rooms for each person.

1.Connected to the Koriyama Bullet train station and was within a 10 minute walk from the train station.2. The traditional style japanese baths are wonderful and they offer free ice cream and popsicles after baths.3. The 9pn free ramen noodles is a huge bowl with broth and all the unique toppings only found in Japan.4. The morning breakfast featured a special " Cream Box " a spread on british style clotted cream to spread on toast. The cream is sold in the train station gift stores and we brought many jars home to the US.5. The beds were comfy and the rooms and in rooms bathtubs/showers were so clean, they sparkled. 6.The " S Pal " shopping mall is next door to the hotel with interesting and chic shops.7. The Pivot Food Alley had amazing wines, cheeses, fruits and restaurants also next door to the Dormy.8. We will return in December to experience more of this hotel.

I liked everything which is unusual for me. The only downside is that whenever I book on Booking.com, it triggers a Fraud Alert because I am in Hawaii and Booking. com is in the Netherlands. Every time, I try to update my card especially when a card expires, I try to update it, it triggers a fraud alert. Because making any reservations or making any changes triggers Fraud alerts, I have to use another hotel booking service. Its a shame because I finally reached Genius 3 and for some reason, I am no longer at Genius 3, so this is something I didn't like.Sorry for being so negative, its probably the card holders policy to send out Fraud Alerts if you book reservations in another country from where we are located. I will have to find a solution to this tech dilemma.

Dormy Inn never fails to please. The location was fabulous about a five minute walk to the train station. Spotlessly clean, love the late evening bowl of ramen..

I have been going to Dormy Inn's for years and years on each of my many trips to Japan when I love most is the rooftop bath where you can also be inside and outside. I was totally unprepared for the bath to be on the second floor and for it to be different, no outdoor pool all the elements of the bath were there and that was fine. Next time I will make sure I only go to Dormy Inn where the bath is on the top floor and it's indoors and outdoors.

It’s conveniently located about 3 blocks from Koriyama station. There is an onsen, including lying baths and carbonated water. Like all other Dormy Inn hotels, they offer free evening noodles and after onsen refreshments.

Bed and pillows were too hard. It’s the first Dormy Inn I have stayed in, where the TV was placed near outdoor onsen. Having to listen to non-stop TV shows without possibility to reduce the volume was not pleasant. Also, there is only one outdoor onsen, alternating between men and women on the evening/morning.

    8MarcPosted on: 5-19-2025

The hotel was a convenient location as it was near the station and a little down from the main part of Koriyama. The onsen bath was nice and had a lot of types of bath as well. The room was spacious and clean.

Having to enter a code (one that change every day) was a bit of a brother. As I did not have the code one day. The parking lot is in a separate area (but it was at least free!) but it made it troublesome to get there in the rain.

It's like, our price may be higher than other Japanese-branded hotels, but just pay that price and we'll take care of you. They really did take care of me. I have stayed at many Dormy Inns but I'm not sure if the washing was complimentary. This time it was. You only have to use 100yen for the drying. Very very helpful. Of course the usual freebies are still there and great. Evening ramen they call half-serving but really more than enough for me. They still have the popsicles and yakult.Still love the sauna!I read a review about how far it was from the station. Not true at all. It's very accessible from the train station elevated walkway. There's elevator access at the building next to Dormy Inn and annexed to the walkway, Don't worry about your luggage.

The smoking room should have been placed in a more secluded area. It was at the entrance of the relaxation room. I could smell the smoke every time I had to go to the washing machines.

Onsen, breakfast, & all the freebies were great.

My wife and I were forced to stay in Koryama because heavy snow stopped transport to our proposed destination. We sayed here at the Dormy Inn and were pleasntly surprised. The Onsen bath was tremendous ! The room was fairly standard, clean and comfortable. Although not adjacent to the train station, it is not far although we had to navigate record snowfall which made it a bit more difficult. Easy walk into the city to find a restaurant for dinner and breakfast at the hotel was nice.

    10マイケルPosted on: 2-26-2025

The hotel is clean and well taken care of.The bath is great.

I didn't like the pillow. It was too thin and hard for me.This is a personal preference.

    6KayPosted on: 2-17-2025

The hotel restaurant serves soup Ramen as supper for hotel guest. Location slightly far from Koriyama station but it is still in acceptable distance.

We book 2 rooms and the room size is too small and quite sense of “oppression". Cleanliness still have room to improve especially the air conditioner filter. Do not serve liquor and soft drink during the supper which my previous stay in Osaka dormy inn has provided. I have extended one night stay at the hotel front desk and pay the same amount of previous night stay. However hotel does not provide breakfast for my 2nd day stay which is quite embarrassing while we are being stopped from entering the restaurant and further asking for 3600 yen for breakfast.

    8SopidaPosted on: 1-23-2025

Within walking distance of the train station. Onsen is available with complimentary ramen serving at 9.30pm.

No convenient store close to the hotel. Have to walk to the train station to find shops which is about 5 min. walk.Ramen is served rather late.

    8TomarinoPosted on: 1-13-2025

    Reasonable price with hot bath.

    Small room.

    10マイケルPosted on: 10-29-2024

The room was small but I chose that because of the price. The public bath was very nice. Good baths and sauna.

    7RyosukePosted on: 7-21-2024

    Free ramen, location, and affordability

Parking was not free nor was it cheap for the area

    9KanokwanPosted on: 4-30-2024

The rooms are convenient and clean, and have a connection from the station to the hotel. There is an onsen room. And there's free ramen.

Heard noises from the sound of trains running during the night, for rooms on not very high floors But not to the point of affecting sleep.
