The hotel was in a weird location. The roads going to the resort were quite small and highly inclined. There was a weird smell in the room and the towels were dirty even after requesting for replacement. The shower is open. Would not recommend.

Great helpful staff, really good food. Especially the food for the dinner buffet is really varied and good. The views are great!

The approach road was a bit challenging, but it was absolutely worth it to reach this gem nestled right in the heart of nature. Check-in was smooth, efficient, and courteous from start to finish. Our room was spotlessly clean and peacefully quiet, with a stunning view of tranquil hills and lush trees. The breakfast and dinner buffets offered plenty of variety, including delicious local dishes that made every meal special. I'd definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family.

Exclusive and tranquil ambience...... surrounded by lush plantations ...... feel of a jungle retreat..... Our balcony overlooked a vast green expanse...... peaceful, serene, and quiet in the evenings...... Mornings were equally refreshing.... filled with the chirping birds and fresh air...... The complimentary evening tea service in the garden was a delightful touch..... allowing guests to unwind amidst nature..... the staff were courteous and eager to assist..... A special mention to the restaurant manager and chef.... their warmth and generosity made our dining experience memorable.... a getaway for those seeking calm connection with nature.

The facilities don’t quite match a five-star standard..... the rooms and bathrooms are dimly lit, giving them a rather dull appearance.... balcony seating arrangement feels more functional than comfortable..... almost like a classroom desk setup..... furniture and in-room amenities are basic, lacking the refinement expected at this level.... service by the staff is polite but not particularly attentive or efficient..... overall, the experience is more in line with a three-star property rather than a premium resort.

Pool setup was great, rooms were really nice, the restaurant was nice.

We booked Mountain Courtyard for our family get-together, and it turned out to be a perfect choice! The resort is set in a beautiful and serene location with stunning surroundings that made our stay truly refreshing.The property was well-maintained, clean, and the rooms were incredibly spacious—ideal for a large family. There were plenty of activities within the resort that kept everyone engaged and gave us great opportunities to spend quality time together.The food at the on-site restaurants was excellent—delicious, reasonably priced, and served with care. A special mention to the restaurant team for their outstanding hospitality. Huge thanks to Amal, Pandi, Aybin, Bipina, George, and Vinod for going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The hotel is set in the mountains, so it feels like you are immersed in the forest. The breakfast was great with a wide assortment of dishes as well as the option for personalized omelets and local breads. There were complimentary activities such as a daily cooking demonstration, cultural program, tea tasting, and bon fire.

We visited in the month of July, which was also the monsoon season with cooler temperatures. The room was cold with a temperature of 18C and the hotel did not have any auxiliary heating to warm the room. They provide an extra blanket so the it was warm in the bed, but the air temperature felt cold. Also, the water in the shower was mildly warm and not hot, which added to the sense of coldness in the room. The hotel is not walking distance to any local businesses such as restaurants or convenience stores, so you will need a car to visit the town of Thekkady and Periyar Wildlife Reserve.

It is a good property surrounded be trees. The staff at the good and helpful. The food was also good. It a property worth staying and value for money too. We stayed in the the banyan cottage it was a good room.

It's a beautiful hotel, modern, clean, comfortable and with a very friendly staff who care about their guests having a good experience. This hotel is a real gem: we wish we could have stayed longer!

The rooms were just fine, but the bathroom was full of ants. The food is average, it can be improved. The garden and the pool is nice.

They served really good food in ala carte and buffet options. Room was comfortable with an awesome forest view. The property is well connected to tourist areas and the overall vibe created within the entire property is very soothing. Staff was courteous and prompt in service.

We had an incredible stay at Mountain Courtyard in Thekkady. The management and staff were exceptionally welcoming and attentive, making our experience even more enjoyable. The ambiance of the property was charming and relaxing. The rooms were comfortable, though adding extra lighting in the cupboards would improve convenience. The food at the restaurant was outstanding and added to the overall great experience. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting Thekkady!

The property is beautiful, the outside space is super pretty and it makes you feel one with nature.The room was amazing, plenty of space, clean and with a beautiful balcony on the forest. It really allows you to realize where you’re staying and I was amazed every time.The staff is always polite and super helpful. They really make you feel welcome and at ease.I loved the activities they provide at the property. The afternoon tea is lovely and it gives you the chance to relax while eating a snack and sipping on some tasty tea or coffee, all while enjoying the amazing light shining through the forest just before the golden hour. Both days we ended up spending way more than just an hour there because the place really makes you forget about time.I also really loved the cultural experience they offer, seeing the southern indian dance was a beautiful experience and very impressive. The dancer was amazing and she put on a beautiful show.Overall, highly recommended! I loved every second of the stay and I would have stayed longer if I had the chance.

Stunning location and views. Very comfortable rooms. Staff very helpful and great activities. We loved the cooking demonstration with senior chef. He was brilliant and we learnt so much.

Couldn’t book any excursions ar reception. what I wanted to eat wasn’t available and room service completely messed up, this was rectified though. Doga barking in both night after midnight (although I know the hotel does not have any control over that)
