Bitan Hotel

The location was near a tourist area.

Requested a room with two beds & they charged me 400 NTD per day more basically for the same room. Housekeeper for two days never cleaned the room; their excuse, they didn't have the key. Tried to contact manager, no reply, felt ignored.

the front door entrance is quite steep , not convenient for senior people.

Location is not that far from Xindian Station and in front of hotel the view isbvery beautiful

Staff was great and beds were comfortable. The original room I was put in had an overwhelming smell making it hard for me to breathe so I had to request a new room. The staff were great even with some language barrier and got me set up in another room with no smell.

The hotel is very dated and needs renovation. No heat in rooms.

I liked that the room was clean, provided with fresh towels and the property looked well maintained. The hotel staff were polite and the room was actually way better than the pictures provided. The staff was friendly. The parking is just opposite the building and is cheap, about 360 NT per day.

The food was mostly asian and there was no variety. It was filled with vegetables like lunch or dinner than early breakfast. I suggest that the hotel add various western options like real bacon not ham, scrambled eggs without onions, Tomatoes etc. I also didn't like the smell of the hotel, please use a diffuser with a fragrance, for now it didn't have a great smell. Also the towels didn't smell good. Towels that have been used by multiple people need fabric softener with some laundry perfume in order to erase any odors.

I've stayed in many hotels and I know a bathtub increases the price of a room...But for what I paid, the room was small and very plain.Two single mattresses together to form a double bed can be very uncomfortable. Fortunately I was alone.

This hotel is not very far from Xindian Subway station, about minutes' walking distance from the other side of the river. The hotel was decent and very good considering the price; however, it included breakfast, water bottles, tea, and coffee. So, this could be an option if you need to stay around this area. Good Check-out time.

Old hotel, inside room and bathroom construction and even the rood door is very old. The price is relatively on the higher side. I could not figure out why Wifi was not stable or connected to the TV, so to get Wifi, the TV had to be turned on, which is not nice for a decent sleep.

Nice location, overlooking 2 bridges and the Bitan area. I choose this hotel because a scene of the famous Taiwanese series “It started with a kiss” was filmed here (the room itself had some damages due to the recent typhoon so I couldn’t stay there). Nice over from the window. Decent-sized room. Good breakfast, friendly aunties & staff. A big plus: You can go to 12th floor and walk out the balcony for an excellent morning view.

The facility in the bathroom is very old school style. No USB charger plug. The toilet paper is toooooooo thin for my liking. Never seen that kind of toilet paper in a proper hotel before.

The room size was a bit small, without a dresser, and somewhat outdated.

The view of the lake was very nice. You could even see Taipei 101 in the distance. I requested room 805 in advance, which is the "It Started With A Kiss" room, and they were happy to accommodate. I was glad to see that they kept the original wicker chairs used by the actors in that drama, even though they're old and worn after 20 years. The heart they added above the headboard was a nice tribute as well, just don't look inside the heart. The breakfast was good, although the "Western" style breakfast was french fries and chicken nuggets, which is typically not a breakfast food in the West. I'd recommend pancakes or waffles with syrup.

While there were some updates to attempt to make the hotel look newer and more wheelchair accessible, its age still shows. Peeling wallpaper, old rickety elevator, rust in the bathroom, old light switches, strong smell of cigarettes. I don't have a wheelchair, but the wheelchair ramp seemed way too steep. The mattress was rock hard, and I'm pretty sure it was just two twin size mattresses pushed together to make a queen-size mattress. However, I wasn't exactly surprised because I chose this room because of nostalgia, not because I was expecting high quality.

The attitude of the counter lady is very bad. The Hotel is called Bitan, but they don’t know how much the swan boat in the nearby Bitan scenic area costs? The window opens to death. It's all pipes and the whole moldy wall. It's terrible. There is no dry and wet separation in the bathroom. When you take a shower in the middle, the water will suddenly become very big and the water will be super hot, and you will be scared every time.

The atmosphere is tourist attractions and the room is narrow.

Transportation is difficult by walking in the street, many fast cars drive in the road of hotel.

Nice location near Bitan river. Value for money. Self-service laundry on 12th floor plus walkout roof patio with great views. Breakfast buffet provided on 2nd floor 7 - 10. Convenience store nearby.

Had to pay for each premium TV channel. Got a rash from the sheets.
