Fairfield by Marriott Belitung

Super helpful and knowledgable Staff. From manager to front desk to engineering to restaurant crew were all hands-on and helpful. They even take time to remember guests not in a big group by name. They even esoecially made us local culinary icon “mie beliting” at breakfast after knowing we had not had the chance to taste it in town. Thank you very much Ferdy, for his attentiveness.Strategic location; only minutes drive from city center ( Satam Square) and many places to get food and coffee nearby. View from room is awesome especially at sunset. Clean and spacious rooms with plenty of amenities. I would suggest additional desk and/or seating in room, and also updating upholstery on restaurant chairs (they’re a bit run down); but these are minor and they don’t take away our great experience.

I like the rooms, the breakfast, and the exceptional services. They also offer free pick up and drop off to the airport.

There were ants when i just arrived at the room from the connecting door to below the bed, but the staff right away came and cleaned it. I was also expecting to see the sea at the balcony, but since morning the sea has receded a lot

Absolutely amazing stay at a great location. The place was neat and everything looked clean and new. The swimming pool was amazing.

Great staff, location, hospitality. Staff and service were great and friendly. We informed them of some issues during our stay and they reacted professionally and promptly.

Maintenance was a bit poor, the first room we stayed at had a beeping aircon. They moved us to another room which was ok but the ceiling needed a fresh coat of paint. The pool was dirty with dead bugs, they put pool towels on a rusty rack. During breakfast the server informed us they were out of eggs due to busy dinner service.

Liked the services by the staff especially from Adam, Tri, Ms Marisha and Ms Wafiq.. they were so friendly and very hospitable.

Buffet breakfast could have been better.. it was good but maybe with more varieties and food being served hot

This hotel has certainly met expectations for a comfortable stay. The amenities and service are on par with other four-star establishments. It's been a pleasant experience so far. The location is convenient, and the staff has been very accommodating. I would recommend this hotel to others looking for a reliable and enjoyable stay.

Extremly friendly staff. They constantly greet you with you name and are always helpful. The breakfast is good and fresh.

I think it’s possible to create the nice yard of the hotel with a bit more love and make it more attractive. They have beautiful space but don’t use it good enough. More flowers, more colour more options to spend the time in the hotel would make it even more attractive.

Rooms are ok and they have a big swimming pool but not always available

The location is not good it’s far from beaches or any attractions. There is a swimming pool but when we stayed at the hotel it was booked for a private party and from the afternoon on it was not accessible for the hotel guests. We were not informed in advance. The breakfast is of low quality I got a water melon juice that was rotten. In short we booked for a 2 days and we cancelled the second day. If you are a tourist there are much better options this place is really sad no beaches no good location no good food average service so no reasons to stay there

The location was in the city, near everything. The room was spacious and comfortable. The property was very beautiful

A fantastic hotel. We couldn’t believe what great value for money this hotel was but what sets this hotel apart from others is the service. Every member of staff we encountered could not do enough for us. It’s the best service we’ve had in our 4 week trip around Indonesia. The rooms were very comfortable with excellent aircon, great shower, extremely clean with a fridge and the usual amenities. Dinner at the hotel was also very good as was breakfast. The general manager spoke to us numerous times checking everything was okay as well as many of the other staff. We didn’t use the pool as we were on day trips but it was big. They also let us check in early which was appreciated as we were going on a day trip so it was good to leave our bags in the room. Photo below of one of our day trips. Would highly recommend the hotel. And we absolutely loved Belitung.

Nothing. For the money we paid it massively exceeded expectations. We wouldn’t even get a 2 star hotel / motel in England for this price.

The staff is exceptional, particularly Mbak Penti, the restaurant supervisor, is a class of its own. The location with restaurants and shops around is great, too.

The pool area needs more shade, ideally movable. Moreover, the area next to the sea needs an upgrade with better gardening and recreation furniture in order to enjoy the sunsets.

The breakfast was awesome as it included interesting Belitung local cuisine!! It was great ?? to have and also pleased to see and have their local medicinal traditional drinks (Jamu) it is what the Javanese is famous for. A staff member, Jasmiati was very helpful with my queries. Her English was good & she had an excellent customer service attitude ❣️

The only problem, we have was that we had a family Junior suite which normally the expectation at that level of hotel accommodation it would include a balcony! That part did not exceed our expectations☹️ & yet the smaller suite on the ground floor had balconies & yet we paid more for our accommodation with no balconies, the level of structure of accommodation did make a lot of sense. It was quite a long stay for not being able to have fresh air into our rooms. The smell of the room wasn’t pleasant, the air the was coming through the air conditioner does not smell fresh??

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Everyone had a smile on their face and were happy to help with all the requests we had. We stayed in the sea view room with a balcony with a beautiful sunset view. The bed and pillow were comfy. It is a simple hotel that provides all your needs but has no luxury feel or a wow factor.

I found that the pool area design is awkward, there is not much space to chill by the pool and as mentioned in other reviews the area between the pool and the sea can be so much better. It feels like an old, run-down small garden. I believe with a better design and maintenance it has a lot of potential.

Staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is good. Meals are delicious in the restaurant. And all those things are not pricey much.

No have balcony about rooms.

Breakfast was amazing, staff were impeccable and the distance to all the important touristy places were nearby. All the staff went out of their way to make our stay even more enjoyable, our expectations were absolutely exceeded. The daily buffet breakfast is worth the stay here alone!

Didn't like that other guests were smoking on the restaurant balcony and that ashes/smoke drift would come down to the swimming pool. Other than that our stay was comfortable, would definitely come back here again.

No direct access to the beach is sad but the hotel was great!

Reception staff specially Anggi Chandra. I have never experienced such poor hospitality from any receptionPool cleanliness : swimming pool is good but during our 3 day stay we didnt see anyone cleaning it. By 3rd day swimming pool was dirty and not fit for swimming.Garden maintenance : they have good backyard but garden is not mantained at all.

the rooms are not sound proof. you can hear the TV in the next room. I booked a room with sea view but they have one with pool view because apparently, the other one was more expensive. however, I booked for a room with sea view.
