Evergreen Palace Hotel Chiayi

Service was excellent, shower and beds were great

I booked this hotel for my visit of National Museum South branch. It's right cross from the museum entrance. Nice walking along the lake to the museum. Hotel is very amazingly decorated. Staff was very helpful. Room is spacious, clean, comfortable. I love the window sitting area. This is not close to city center. So not a lot choices on food. Did found a great Japanese restaurant cross the street.

We choose this hotel for the convenience to visit the Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum. The hotel is beautifully decorated with some real antique in display. The room is big. Snacks are free. The breakfast has many options.

It has some distance if go to Chiayi downtown.

Love the location. The room is clean, comfortable and spacious. The staff is pleasant and professional.

The texture of the walls around the hotel and the decoration. The business center and reading area provide places to work while waiting for check-in. The room has everything in the right place, and the voice control information desk is nice.

The swimming pool is too high to reach.

Right across the street from the National Palace Museum, Southern branch. Very clean. Nice and quiet.

Pretty fat from anything else we wanted to do in Chiayi (night markets, etc).

The staffs were extremely helpful and friendly! They answered all my questions. The hotel is located right next to the south national palace museum. The hotel offers many kids friendly activities.

It's a short pleasant walk to the museum, which was our destination. Love the big soaking tub! Very necessary after a day of walking in the museum.The staff was exceptionally attentive.

Not a lot of dining options in the neighborhood.

Compared with other three-star+ hotels, breakfast is about the same, nothing special. However, the location is super nice. It is closed to the southern branch of the national palace museum, many other tourist attractions and high speed railway station. In addition, the streets are very nice and wide, very suitable for family biking.

The swimming pool is nice and they even have a lifeguard, however it is kind of small and the opening hours are too short.

I liked that the lobby restaurant serving staff were friendly and happy to serve kids. The manager checked for allergies and was very apologetic when one of my kids had an allergy and immediately replaced the soup (It was the croutons that had nuts). She also offered to call an ambulance which wasn't required, and said to call front desk if there were any issues. My kids enjoyed the simple but clean playrooms very much. The outdoor patio was nice for kids to play with the little driving cars. The room was equipped with an Alexa equivalent which the kids enjoyed talking to and playing music.

I asked front desk about food options and they only told me about what was available at the hotel. It would've been good if they were more knowledgable about the general area and offered various choices to guests. We ended up eating at the hotel which was fine, but would've liked more information. I asked the concierge about youbikes, but he had no idea what I was talking about. I finally found out that they are only available in Chiayi city. So, not a very experienced concierge. The pool was quite small, its a pity they didn't make it bigger and more of a scene given the fantastic location over the National Southern museum.

It is a nice hotel across street from a wonderful museum/park and close to Taiwan High Speed Rail station. Staff were wonderful and lobby was elegant.

Check-in time not flexible even the hotel was not busy. It is a hotel catering international travel. However, the reception could not text non-Taiwan cell phone for room readiness.

I was allowed to enter and exit the parking ground without having to get the permit from front desk because my car is the same one as I drove during last stay.

1.The room has some strange odor, probably from the drainage system. 2.The sink was erected in the living room, which caused the splash of water on the floor.3.The dinner was not good,the side dishes was cold and not tasteful. The main course was not cooked in accordance with what they put on the menu,very disappointed!4.Respond to our request for additional quilt by providing a small but hard blanket rather than the soft quilt.

Staffs are nice, equipments are great.And children friendly.

Breakfast can be better

Very nice stay. The only thing is location is not as convenient as it's about half an hour drive from the city of Chia yi. However, they do offer the shuttle pick up from high speed train station.

Location is not the best if you intend to hop between the city of Chia yi and Tainan

Breakfast is good. The music device is perfect.

The room is smaller than I think.

The breakfast and the people at the front desk were great. Bathroom was super nice and very big!

People who work there all are friendly and nice. We had great time at the hotel.

The first floor restaurant sometime had flies. But I guess it because it’s short distance to door. Hard to prevent it.

Next door to NPM, convenient for visiting. Good pool and great breakfast.

Not much attractions in walking distance except NPM. I should have stayed for one night only

location, new modern building, easy parking access, friendly service,

poor TV, refresh rate is so low, it lags when you watch sports channels. sound proof can be better,

clean and quiet
