Hotel Apaar with Sea Face Garden Restaurant

If you get a balcony room overlooking the sea between the island and mainland to the north you'll be mesmerized by the colours and beauty of the view, palm trees, bird life and brightly painted boats, while sitting comfortably in the shade! The room was clean, comfortable and everything worked. The staff were friendly and helpful and the two restaurants, one veg one non-veg, served tasty meals. We had, originally, booked for a resort at Nagoa beach but were let down. As it turned out this was a much better option, Diu is an interesting town and the beaches to the south are, unlike Nagoa with it's reputation for drunkenness, broken bottles and noisy watersports, beautiful, clean and virtually deserted. I couldn't find, online, any information on whether those southern beaches were safe for swimming, they are.

Just a warning that the hotel has a very narrow check-in window, the reception is always open but it's worth contacting them (they speak English), if you're going to miss the window, so they don't treat you as a "no show".

Nothing as my room was 'cancelled by Booking.com because I didn't check-in before 12:00 p.m.'

As I arrived at approximately 17:30 and within my advised ETA, I was told my booking was cancelled because I did not check-in before 12:00p.m. I was told: 'it's in Booking.com standard, please read it. Booking.com automatically cancel the booking if you don't check-in before 12:00 p.m.I have never had this bad experience before.Maybe I've booked over 100 rooms already with Booking.com and I've never had my booking cancelled.

Too expensive for what they offer. Bathroom is in need of renovation.

the staff was very professional and helpful. had provisions for people waiting for check in and after check out. rooms were well maintained and the service was prompt. experience was delightful.

The location is good.

The room has mice in AC Vents which created nuisance in night due to noises. Had mentioned to the hotel staff. Instead of changing the room, they did nothing. Had a 3 year old kid with us.

It is a very convenient location The food at the garden restaurant is awesome and pure vegetarian.

Location of hotel is good in centre of city. Good and clean rooms, testy food.

I personally like the rooms and facilities provided by the hotel. They do have their restaurant and daily special items. The staff is very friendly and jolly in nature. My experience with this hotel was way too good.

Room was comfortable though furniture was dated. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was okay.Staff were helpful.

Location was noisy.Breakfast room was dirty, plastic furniture seemed to have not been cleaned for a long period, and layout very congested, uncomfortable to sit. Food variety was very limited. Staff were friendly but need training.

Only thing is location was good,

Smelly, dirty very bad condition of the hotel.There was no Buffet Breakfast as normal hotels with breakfast.Won't ever go back.
