Mito Plaza Hotel

Everything was excellent. The food, value, service, facilities, I love this hotel. I plan to return again and will tell friends and family about it.

I feel like the rooms were a little dark, I would have appreciated more lighting, especially over the tables. I also feel the hallways were a little too dark as well. One of my rooms was 320, and the emergency light fixture was the only thing providing light outside more door. This light color was too blue/white, whereas the general hallway lights were more warm/yellow white.

Hotel looked like garden. Rooms were spacious. Staff are very friendly and will guide you wherever to go.Toilet was spacious with bathtub, shower area and 2 sinks!Breakfast was not buffet, but a beautiful bento set! Will come again for the resort feel!

Location can be a little problematic. Had to take cab/bus to reach hotel after reaching Mito Station. Good for drivers, but a hassle for non-drivers.

The hotel was really nice and the staff was well trained and very helpful. We used this hotel as a base to visit the Hitachi Seaside Park. We had dinner at the restaurant and was a great experience both quality and service.

The hotel is located in the bit remote area of Mito, which is not very touristic, but still very nice. Rooms were very spacious and absolutely clean, along with incredibly friendly staff and wonderful service. Changing breakfeast options from traditional Japanese to continental. We will visit again, fullest recommendation!

Dinner st French restaurant was most disappointing. Not up to standard.

Large spacious rooms, even by western standards. Luxury public areas and excellent variety of restaurants.

Pillows were a touch soft.

Large rooms, nice and quiet. Location is perfect. Beautiful hotel. Good atmosphere. The staff at the reception at Check-in was friendly and spoke English which was convenient.

The breakfast is a kind of ala carte and it took 15 minutes to get fried eggs. That is too long. And when I got it, it was hardly warm.Takes too long for a small and overprices breakfast.When I tried to mention my bad breakfast experience during Check-out, suddenly no staff member spoke English, which felt a bit odd.

The Suite is very comfortable and private. Very spacious and with its own Jacuzzi it made my stay memorable. It is also very well designed for work and the needed amount of entertainment with its two big screens carefully positioned in the room.

I was asked to pay for my room on checkin. That didn't align very well with a hotel that is committed to providing a five-start experience.

Very beautiful and classic hotel. Cosy room with lovely decor, very clean and spacious. A lovely bouquet was placed in our room as our anniversary gift with a card signed by all staff. Very personal and touching!We had a lovely anniversary dinner at the garden terrace. Wonderful and delicious French dinner, courteous and welcoming staff (a Japanese gentleman who can speak fluent English), everything is so professional and high quality. Breakfast is also very good with full breakfast (egg, sausage, salad, yogurt, fruit, juice and freshly made bread). A very relaxing and refreshing start. Very near the Hitachi Seaside Park so it's a nice base to travel there. Free carpark is available. Will definitely stay again and highly recommended.

Lack of facilities like gyms, swimming pool and onsen.

Beautiful hotel, staff were very professional. Bed was comfortable, as was the size and finishes of the large bathroom. Breakfast was very good. We selected the Japanese breakfast, it was a traditional Japanese breakfast with natto, picked plums, fish, rice, miso and a variety of other small Japanese salads. We also ordered room service. We selected one of each item available and all were tasty( spaghetti, margarita pizza and onigiri).

There was trash under our bed from prior visits that had never been cleaned and we were never able to use the free WiFi in our room because the connection was too weak. Also, I wish there were a few more items on their room service menu; such as sides like garlic bread, salads and desserts. But overall we enjoy our stay and I’d recommend to others.

The breakfast was phenomenal, amazing 2 course American style breakfast was served if you purchased the breakfast option. One option was the Japanese style breakfast but unfortunately we didn’t get the chance to try that one. The staff was incredibly courteous and soooo friendly! They made us feel like we were at home at every moment. The rooms were incredible and the bathrooms were amazing! The shower and bathtub being in the same room with a common drain was amazing, great for a kid to splash in the tub. Love the bidets! ? The hotel was perfectly located not too far from the Mito Train station, maybe a 10-15 min ride in moderate traffic, 6-8 no traffic
