APA Hotel Hitachinaka Katsuta Station

very convenient location close to the railway station - room was large enough

Instead of changing the wipers every day they should have cleaned the rooom

The mattress was absolutely terrible. One side was hard, the other half was very soft. Made it difficult to sleep and I had to be at an angle... replace it!

Good location , clean , has a smoking room ?, small room but comfortable ?

The room was very comfortable, it had everything I needed, great location, professional and attentive staff. I loved that the bedsheets were cotton and the duvet genuine feathers, which seems to be a thing in the past at other 3 star places. It was quiet. Breakfast was nice.

There was only one elevator servicing 10 floors, both for guests and service staff. There should be a separate elevator for maintenance staff. It can be unsightly too, with the mops and the bags of laundry, having to give way to the car with supplies. Most of all, if you forget something and need to go back to your room, you can miss a train. Once you go down for breakfast, plan to go on about your business or sightseeing without returning to the room to save time. No stairs available either.

The hotel is in good location. The staffs can speak English and helpful. The room is just right.

The hotel staff is very nice, when I arrived the hotel in first day, it was heavy rain outside, and the staff borrowed an umbrella to me, let my heart feel warm , also they help me to call the restaurant for dinner reservations. So I would recommend this hotel to others visit Katsuta!

There was a generally negative attitude from staff and other patrons towards my friend and I being there, I suspect because we are both foreigners, even though we both speak Japanese. I was initially told there weren't any available non-smoking rooms, after some argument it turns out that there was a whole floor available. We stayed for 2 days in 2 separate rooms and it was far from friendly. Wouldn't recommend.

Front desk male staff member was extremely efficient and nice.

The air conditioning did not work at all. I have stayed here and similar hotels before, I know how to use the air conditioning. As a result I had a very bad sleep.

The staff was very helpful especially with the parking lot! Excellent service, clean and comfortable room.

A lot of noise leaking into the rooms.Compact rooms, definitely a tight space for two people. Would be great if the rooms were aired out a bit more, really stuffy when got in and took a while to get the weird smell to dissipate.

The bathroom door is fixed a limits opening of door. The step up to bathroom is very high. No space for clothes to be stored.

The hotel surprised me with a public washing machine, dryer and an ice maker beside the typical vending machines. This seems to be typical for APA hotels, but it was new to me and I loved it very much! It was walking distance to my client as well as to train station and large supermarkets. On the backside of the hotel is a very special Japanese restaurant. The buffet breakfast in the morning is very good. It was also easy to store the luggage ahead and after the stay, great service attitude!

Excellent hotel at 10 minutes walk from Katsuta station. Many restaurants close by. The rooms are comfortable and the WIFI is very good.

The staff was very nice and accommodating. They have luggage storage also. The breakfast buffet was worth the money.
