The mattress was very hard
We went in early October, and it was hard to find a non-hanok, non-bnb, non-guesthouse kind of hotel for a reasonable price, but this one had a great price. The neighborhood had a decent number of small restaurants, but I think they were mostly bars. The neighborhood is pretty quiet during the week days. Though I had some minor reservations about the room, it gets the job done. Our room had a couch and a table which proved useful. The walk to the bus stop isn't that far, maybe 3-4 blocks.
It feels like a pretty old hotel. Mattresses were like plywood. The room also felt a little dusty, and we even saw some dust bunnies. The windows were a little dirty and the window guides were filthy and had some dead bugs in it. Speaking of bugs, even though we kept the window closed, there must have been some kind of hole they were coming through, because we killed at least 2 mosquitoes per night, and I still, after our 3 night stay, had almost 30 mosquito bites, none of which I acquired during the day! I was miserable at night! After getting a dozen bites the first night, I was paranoid at night and constantly swatting. I even managed to kill 1 mosquito on my face in the dark! On this trip, I stayed in 5 hotels and bnbs, and I got 0 bites before and after the stay at this hotel. Take that for what it's worth.
The 'Free Breakfast' wasn't good enough. Recommended to have your breakfast from elsewhere. Time taken for laundry was not satisfactory. They don't pick the laundry from the room, instead the guest has to take cloths to the front desk. Even though they mention that the delivery of cleaned cloths will be on the same day at 7pm, at the time of accepting the laundry for cleaning, they said that the delivery will be on next day 7am. On next day at 7 am they said, it has not yet arrived, but before 8am they should be able to deliver.
