Hotel Matriz

Close to the airport. It?s a hotel for convenience, not really for visiting the old historic part of the city.

The hotel was very clean and the location was amazing. For the price it was beautiful.

I Liked the accommodation

I couldn't notice anything I don't like

The good central location. Some facilities an old but great value for money.Car parking but you should be very experienced driver to park here.

Breakfast

Great hotel , fair price and accommodating staff

Try to avoid room facing street , in particular the ones close to the “praça “. People stay out talking loud till later the night (+2 AM) . Window acoustic not the best , you will hear noise for outside

Reception staff was very friendly and just awesome. They even packed us a breakfast since we had to leave early in the morning, and had a taxi waiting for us. Good location close to many shops and restaurants.

Air conditioner did not work very well in the room so we were hot all night. Bed was less than average comfort.

Clean, friendly, location is unmatched.Free parking and tremendous breakfast

The parking is tight and it is only available in -3The facilities are not the most modern, but they are exceptionally clean.

Location and parking

Broken mattress, old sheets, leaking water in the bathroom floor. Only two pillows and dirty carpets.

For the excellent price this was a very comfortable, clean hotel, but what made it exceptional was the thoughtfulness and attentiveness of the staff. When I had to ask them for help organize a 5 am taxi pickup, they packed my breakfast to take with me.

The staff at this hotel is very polite. The hotel organizes breakfast, but I had an early flight and therefore would not have time for breakfast. But the hotel staff prepared breakfast to take with me the next day. The host also checked in the morning that I was getting into an official taxi. This is incredibly important. The bed and linens were clean and there was air conditioning in the room. Considering the cost for one night - excellent.

Сarpet in the room wasn't so clean

Excellent location, very nice and helpful staff. Good breakfast.

No fridge or kettle in the room.

Good location and a garage free of charge

Beds a bit worn. Would do good with a general face lift.

Proximity to downtown.

Shower too small. Bathroom door wouldn't stay open. Main floor did not flow well. Breakfast was minimal.

The staff were friendly. Location good

Need to be renovated

Great location, staff was great, breakfast was also great

Carpet in the rooms

It was walking distance to the city centre. The staff is very friendly. The lady at reception was so lovely, incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Rooms are simple but squeaky clean.

The breakfast could have more fresh options

The staff were immediately wonderful and so helpful. The room was no-frills, but very clean and comfortable. The location was the best part: only a few blocks from the marina and the town center.

The breakfast was not great, it was pretty basic and had mostly overly sweet things. There was cereal, but no milk. I would've liked some greek yogurt and more fruit options.

Quiet side street location. Easy walk to the centre of the town. Continental breakfast was fine. Really helpful and pleasant staff.

I would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

Great location and thrnstaff was friendly and helpful. Let us leave store our luggage which was a huge perk since we had a really late flight. The breakfast was good and I had a great night's sleep.

Excellent location, just few steps from a Market and city centre. Everything really good, breakfast very tasty. And funny receptionist :)
