The staff, the location, the food!

Great staff and location. Walkable to a grocery store and many restaurants. We got an upgraded room on check-in. The room itself was very comfortable and nice.

The rugs in the hallways were disgusting. For how upgraded and renovated the rest of the hotel was, this was unexpected. Also, we wished the room had a microwave.

Location was great. Close to everything and close to airport. Staff were helpful, friendly and efficient. Room service was excellent and fast. Hotel was clean and amenities like the pool, hot tub and Turkish steam bath were fantastic. Food was A+.

Hot tub could have been a bit hotter but all was good.

The hotel staff did not know that we were coming. It was disorganized and complicated getting a room and I had to talk to your customer service two times. Then the room was very loud and we had trouble sleeping there.

Nice clean and close to tourist attraction. Beautiful view and a great spa.

Loved the view from our room, beds were comfortable, breakfast was delicious, location was perfect, and the staff was wonderful.

Not a thing!

I had a balcony with an ocean view and it was outstanding. In addition the bed was incredibly comfortable! I also very much appreciated having a bathtub to be able to soak in! Finally, the gentleman who helped bring my bags up was incredibly friendly and that really stood out. I enjoyed seeing him in the lobby daily -- he brought genuine joy to my trip!

The carpeting was quite warn, the wood in the rooms is quite dated. More so than that, room service was quite lackluster (with me sending the prawns back one night because they were so overcooked and inedible), and the food in the hotel restaurant was quite disappointing (including that the panko shrimp hadn't been deveined!). A hotel restaurant on the marina/ocean of this reputation and caliber should have seafood locked in, and this was very disappointing.

This was our second time staying at this hotel because it has great location, friendly staff and a nice parking garage all for a decent price in this area. Our bed was very comfy, the view was wonderful and the breakfast was very good! Upon check in our room was not ready but they called us within the hour (4 hours before normal check in) and let us know that we had a room ready when we were. The Staff were execellent. We were very happy with our stay and we'd be happy to stay again!

The room itself is showing it's age but it was comfortable and clean so hard to complain there. The hotel cannot do anything about this but I hate having to take a right out of the garage, then taking the main drag up a bit before pulling a U-ey. Also our parking key card for the garage kept malfunctioning but they were very helpful and fixed it for us.

European showers are sometimes too cute. The water leaked under the swinging glass door and wet the floor. The fruit that was delivered was in OK shape, but the apple was too bruised to be edible. Really that's all. Everything else was great.

The accommodations were very nice. We had a nice view of the cruise dock and the hustle bustle of activity.

We did not think the breakfast was as good as other hotels we have stayed at in Sao Miguel. For example, there was no omelette chef as we’ve seen at other hotels.

Needs updating. Carpet was a bit shabby. Breakfast was ok - it was overcrowded and we had to wait for some items to be refilled.

The rooms need updating. The carpet in the room’s and hallway need to be replace for different materials. Need to replace the tub for walk in shower. Majorite of clients senior citizens and can fall in the tubs.

There could have been air conditioning in the hallways and common areas.
