Hotel Talisman

Location was central to our travel. Excellent breakfast. Nice view from rooftop pool. Staff very helpful

There was construction in the adjacent building or hotel where hammer drilling and jackhammering took place between 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. I understand this was likely outside of the control of the hotel.

A girls trip where we stayed here for one night before heading home. Centrally located in Ponta delgada. Beautiful little balcony, friendly staff, rooftop pool, breakfast included. It was exactly what we needed.

Central location, comfortable beds, quiet neighborhood made it easy to sleep, WiFi was steady at about 65 Mbps, good shower with ample hot water, friendly/helpful staff.

The "free" breakfast was rather bland, could use more variety and imagination.

Staff & location

Needs a lot of refurbishment. Moldy smells & laminate click together flooring full of gaps & cracks. Not enough working outlets in room.

Breakfast had lots of variety, but we found it hit and miss. The hot eggs and bacon were way too under cooked, was not happy about this. Often resorted to cereal which is a shame when we looked forward to hot breakfasts.

The consistency of breakfast could of been better. We had a small bite at lunch and the toasted ham sandwich and fries were very mediocre.

Friendly staff. Comfortable room. Great location. Delicious breakfast.

Mattress was too soft for me.

The hotel is a charming old building in the heart of the historic district and a short walk from the waterfront. The rooms are spacious and ours had a balcony that overlooked a well-kept garden and public square, The staff was exceptional and went out of their way to allow us to check in early after an overnight flight from the U.S. Breakfasts were varied and generous. The outdoor seating area is charming. The hotel's restaurant is quite good. We split an excellent azorean fish stew for a special night out.

Excellent location in a mostly pedestrian area, close to all PDG sites. The Talisman was perfect for us: staff were professional and helpful, the premises were immaculate, rooms were situated for maximum privacy, secure parking one block away for $6 per day. We loved the spiral staircases, the original woodwork and the many shared parlors and seating areas. Extensive breakfast buffet, heavy on the pastries.

We had an average dinner at the restaurant on our first night. Fortunately, there are many other/better nearby alternatives.

Decorated nicely and the room was spacious and clean. Breakfast buffet was nice.

The staff was aloof and not that friendly. We were confused on the parking situation and they answered questions but we felt that they could have explained better.

This place was incredible. Next time im in Ponta Delgada, im staying here again and it's not even a question. Staff was amazing, room was clean, everything is so beautiful, food at the attached restaurant was incredible.

The parking situation was a bit of a bummer, but I imagine that's the case everywhere in Ponta Delgada

I loved the hotel’s rooftop infinity pool with stunning 360° views and the excellent breakfast.

Toiletries were very limited, with only hand soap and a single shower cap provided.

We enjoyed the rooftop pool. Everything else was a 10/10!!! I will be back!

The fresh soft white cheese was old and hard, and the room number wasn't listed on the walls in the main area; however, all the others were listed. You had to enter a hall way to find it. One of the new receptionist gave us the wrong instructions, but we finally found our room. I presume the receptionist was newer.

People were very nice and the rooms quiet and lovely, perfect location, thank you very much

This is a beautiful place that is a great jumping off point for your visit; whether hog are simply walking around town or are being picked up for a tour.

We were above the kitchen and the staff can be a bit loud when they are cleaning up in the evening or setting up in the morning.

This hotel was in a great location in PDL. The room was beautiful done and the bathroom was large. The breakfast was amazing! So many great choices.

The location was good, a small hotel very well kept. Food was good, breakfast patio overlooking a park was very nice.Friendly staff and very clean. Room was very clean and a good size. Overall a great hotel.

Bathtub not appropriate for seniors. Very difficult to step in and out. Rest of bathroom was great.

Sadly, we were only there for one night. Hotel Talisman was very close to the water and restaurants with fresh seafood. It was in the historic center, so walkable and fun to explore! The rooftop pool was great also! Very friendly staff!

Unique hotel, clean, spacious rooms and a great location. Very enjoyable stay here. Good breakfast and great staff. We would stay here again.
