The location and the staffs were really helpful

Mouldy and dusty rooms. Stained bed linen. Tiny bathroom no space to move.

Keeping the cut fruits at 19 degrees or so doesn't make it good to eat. They are too cold and gives an impression that they may be stale also. Same with sweets.

Communication regarding early check-in should be better - staff should be better trained

The hotel and our room were spotless. The staff were extremely efficient and friendly. Excellent breakfast.

Bad bed & Poor Breakfast spread

Very small size single beds...should be minimum European King-size beds....poor spread of buffet breakfast

Fairly good spread and quality

Items that were finishing were not being replenished. For example when the coconut chutney for idly finished around 9:30 am it did not get replenished so we had idly without chutney !!!

Facilities, Room, food, room service, breakfast - all good.Maybe as a resort need to plan some activities onsite for those who do not venture to the city.

The tea supplied was very weak ..would have liked stronger tea like Assam or Darjeeling tea..

The hotel is very centrally located.That’s a very big advantage while catching up with family and friends.The decor of the room is pleasant.Cleanliness and hygiene levels are at par with international standards.The staff is extremely helpful and polite.Overall a pleasant experience.

Due to the location of a road adjacent to the property it gets noisy during the day.The air conditioning was not very effective.I had to call maintenance.The mattress was kind of worn out with not enough support.Probably worn out with time and needs replacement

Mayfair Convention is, as you could guess from the name, mainly used for conventions and meeting rooms. Only the top floor has guest rooms. So it is smaller than you might think from the pictures in terms of guest numbers. The great thing is that its sister hotel over the road has everything you would expect in a top class hotel including many great restaurants, bars, etc which you can use as a guest at Mayfair Convention... but your room costs much less than those over the road. If you are travelling to see the old part of town/temples, it is a fair distance away but transport is very affordable. The team at the hotel are incredibly welcoming and arranged transport and tours for us to Cuttack, Konark and beyond. Thanks so much to everyone at the hotel, especially Jagdish on the front desk!

Very small restaurant, gaudy decor, defective bathroom water outlet where the water from bathing area goes the sink/ WC area. Choice of painting over the bed was bad

The hotel exceeded my expectations by all means.Friendly staff, luxury furniture and building.Comfort room and bed, clean white towels and all necessary amenities.Value of money.I could rate it as a 5 star hotel.

I cannot find anything negative to say.

Fantastic staff good ambience late checkout they alalowd us

Our stay was really marvellous. The hotel does not have many rooms so the service is extremely personalized. teh amenities are excellent. The pool that is available at Mayfair Lagoon across the street is marvellous, so is the place at Mayfair Lagoon, which is completely integrated with Mayfair Convention. There is water, newspaper, soft drinks and snacks provided at no extra charge. The place is well located, in an area that is not noisy, but still right next to pharmacies, and small shops.

That breakfast was not included by Booking.com ... and I came to know of this only during check in.The fact that breakfast is not included should have been pointed out by Booking. com. during the booking process.Mostly travellers wish to have the breakfast included. I blame Booking.com squarely for this lapse

It was great that there was a possibility to go over to Mayfair Lagoon, this made me give higher rating to the place.The pool and the venue of the Lagoon is great!

Don't sleep on the 3rd floor, it is very loud due to the proximity of the restaurant.There are high (2*9%) taxes on food and drink which is not shown on the menu. The prices of the restaurants and bars are Western European, 5-6 times higher than Indian prices.
