Old,rooms basic breakfast very poor
On arrival I received a cordial and organised welcome. All members of staff I interacted with were friendly. The room was spacious and clean, if a little dated. My room looked quite like the pictures. The bed and pillow were comfortable. There were toiletries in the bathroom. I also liked that there was a lift. The communal areas were clean and well-organised. I was only able to stay one night but I thought it was good value for a central location, especially as the price I paid included a buffet breakfast with lots of different options.
The swimming pool was under maintenance. The way of connecting to wifi could be simpler and easier. The hotel is probably due a refurbishment to bring it into line with more modern standards and expectations. But it has a kind of colourful retro charm!
The breakfast was excellent. All the foods were prepared and displayed very nice. The kitchen folks were also very nice.
The room toilet paper rolls are skimpy. Otherwise, everything else is very nice.
bed
staff service/ hot - cold water/ loud noise from the fair around the hotel
Location near train station.
Not flexible policy with early check in or late check out. WiFi signal sometimes poor.
The hotel staff delivered a polite professional service. The facilities were good. I enjoyed the breakfast options. I would recommend this hotel.
Poor
its the kind of hotel, that you know right away it "used to" look good. Now it looks really run doown old and a bit creepy. But the actual problem is the price, at this price range, i expected something better, not old and creepy.
Location
Too many steps to climb for seniors. The bathroom set up is questionable
