Hotel Ostrova

The location was great, because I had a sporting event at the rowing palace.

Big beds and rooms.

Good food, nice location.

No pool, bed was kinda funky

I wanted to be close to the rowing canal so the location was perfect. Room was clean and comfortable and had a few items in the minibar. The on-site restaurant served great food. Plenty of car parking.

Reception is not 24h.

Location - though it was pretty dark at night(no lights outside)

No TV,no staff at night(not even a security guard), no extra blankets/sheets, water all over in the bathroom....Disappointed!

If you like me and trying to avoid the noisy town life, you will feel great here. The location is perfect for me, surrounded by a forest and near the river it offers quiet and comfort. There is a lot of parking space in front of the hotel and the prices of the rooms are decent (note that I went there in October and in summer the prices may differ)

The wifi is not very good, and the food quality may improve. I mean is good but if they focus on these two things as well this will be a great overall improvement.

It is with good location. We asked for breakfast but it is afrer 9:00am. As we were there for work we could not have it

Communication. The boss was crazy. This men is histeric with Bulgarian mantalitet. His wife is the same. In the hotel area was dirty, many insects everyware….

No working restaurant on spot, payment by card not accepted between 20:00-08:00h

Nice ambient, very close to kanal , restourant is perfect.

I had a car, without a personal car, location could be problematic.

It is surrounded by greenery, next to a pond, and there is no parking problem.

The balcony was very small, and there was only one stool. The bed was not comfortable enough. There was no closed wardrobe.

We're very happy with our stay in the hotel, the room was spacious and clean, it's a very quiet location, the food in the restaurant is good.

Just flagging that the information on the rooms is a bit misleading - we booked a Deluxe suite advertised as separate bedroom and living room. Since we're with a small child that goes to bed rather early, for us it's important to have some space to ourselves - unfortunately there's no "separate" space at all, it's just a really big room with separate corners. Originally the room we were given didn't have a balcony either, so we asked to change the room and were able to stay there in the evenings. If you'd like to really enjoy the quiet and peace of the location, make sure to confirm there's no private event scheduled at the restaurant. There was one while we were there, with a DJ and loud music, which fortunately ended by 23.10.

The hotel was gorgeous! We had a giant room, which was very clean and well cared for but the absolute best thing about this place was Milena. The Reception/front of house hostess was incredible. She was so friendly and welcoming and couldn't do enough for you! We had a thoroughly enjoyable 2days in Plovdiv and will certainly be back. And when we are we will stay here again.

We were dissapointed that we had missed the deadline for the pool but it was understandable to be closed after summer (1st Sept).

Location

Extremely unfriendly management and service! This is not a hotel but a hostel for athletes. We had guests from Germany and we were very ashamed to take them to this place. They made us leave the restaurant before we finished dinner, and in the morning they wouldn't let us have breakfast on the patio in 33 degrees in the shade and finish our breakfast because they had to sweep and get ready for a party. We couldn't use the pool because of the same party. Everything was subject to the athletes and outside party regimen, but not the interests of the hotel guests. Managers manage by shouting down the staff regardless of whether there are hotel guests nearby. This hotel shouldn't be available on Bookings at all. It is below any standards!Do not go there.

Lovely setting with a nice pool and close to the fabulous Plovdiv rowing channel and park. Walkable into old town. Very friendly and helpful receptionist. Plusses outweigh the minuses.?

Haphazard breakfast times. No room cleaning or mini bar replenishment of bottled water. No hot water on our third morning.

The location is perfect. The room was big.

It was dirty in the bathroom and the room as well. There had dead insects and ants walking around. They didn’t clean the room for all three days, the rubbish bin too. The restaurant…they confirm reservation for dinner and when we went at 20:00pm it was closed and that was every evening. So disappointing.
