Pros +
- Charming hotel nestled in the heart of Old Town. Warm, welcoming staff and comfortable rooms. Very quiet area. Perfect to rest after a long day of sightseeing. The complimentary breakfast buffet was plentiful and enjoyable on the lovely patio.

- Superb location in the quiet areas of Old Town.
Cons -
- The staff seemed grumpy and unfriendly. The air conditioning unit was not functioning properly, and the temperature outside was 35°C. All night long, there was electrical noise in the room. The noise made sleeping extremely uncomfortable. There were no power outlets available for charging your phone or connecting a laptop.
- Breakfast was a bit basic. Some items in the room like the door knob to the bathroom were broken so you had to be careful when opening the door.
- Some updates would be necessary. The bedspreads were worn out, the air conditioning didn’t function.

Good breakfast and excellent location.

Unfortunately, we were there less than 24 hours so it would not be fair to write a full review of this hotel. The area around the hotel looked very nice and it was only a short walk to the main square. As the hotel was in the old town the cobbled streets needed care when walking through them but this just added to the character. The bedroom was big and spacious. Unable to write a review about the breakfast as it did not start until 8:00am, when we stayed, and we had to get a train at that time so had already left the hotel.
Unable to say due to the short time we were in the hotel. Arrived 14:00pm and had left by 07:00am the following morning.
Staff was very nice and professional and helped us with our taxi needs. The location of hotel was outstanding!
Cold meats and cheeses and bread. It was ok. Ate it because it was there and included in price. Location in old town is fine to see amphitheatre but walking on cobbled streets a nightmare. Would have preferred new town area if staying again. Sheets clean. Sheets clean
This hotel is so old fashioned., Worn out, and cluttered. Old guy who runs the place has terrible attitude and manner for dealing with customers. He really shouldn’t do it. In room, Bedspreads from 70s that made my skin itch when I sat on it. They had to go. Put A/C on absolute ma A.M. but it didn’t cool room down. Needs a recharge I think. Manky old shower curtain hanging on a few hooks on the remaining holes in curtain that hadn’t ripped. Curtain didn’t reach floor so didn’t stop floor getting soaked. Handle came off bathroom door. Really old fashioned furniture. Breakfast buffet is a few plates of meat cheese bread on a table. Same old guy dealing with breakfast and he is rubbish. Couldn’t wait to get out of the place.
Everything was perfect. Very cozy place in the heart of the old town. Authentic house, where the host will welcome you. The ancient teather is only 350 m.walking distance. The city is around 550m walking distance. They serve magnificent breakfast, including eggs, various cheese and sausages, and traditional sweet bread, like donuts. Defiantly will come again.
The location was superb
Unwelcoming host, uncomfortable beds, no chairs to use on balcony, shockingly ineffective AC, barely slept. Worst of all having gone for a walk in the morning prior to checkout, on our return we were rudely berated by the owner for another guest not having been able to leave the garage due to our car. Bear in mind we parked exactly where he showed us to upon arrival (under his supervision)and nothing was said about needing to move the car at any point. They had also been in the room whilst we were out too. I'm certainly not fussy, having stayed in everything from wooden huts to 5 star hotels across Bulgaria over many years of travelling and usually don't like leaving negative reviews but this warranted one. Avoid.
Location was main positive of this stay. Although outdoor terrace was lovely for some relaxation
Very basic, even poor facilities. No kettle, coffee, tea or water in the room. Beds very uncomfortable and squeaky. Very small breakfast selection. One egg served per person accompanied by one cup of coffee.
The room was quit big, without air conditioner. In tho⁷nnise hot mounts, july and august it is really necessary had air condition.
The first of all, the owner was extremly unpleasent, so morose. The hotel is really old. It is a little hard to find the hotel and get there. The breakfest was ok.
Me and my husband traveled to Plovdiv for see Hauser show in the ancient theatre. I looked for the place near the theatre with parking space. The selected hotel address this requirements. Doesn't matter there wasn't place in the hotel garage, because it should be arranged in advance (to mention in the booking notes and verify with hotel representative). There is a lot of parking place in the hotel surrounding 100-200 m. Other things were as expected. Place to sleep at night, take shower, have good breakfast in the morning in the cool garden at the hotel and go forward.
In the very hot days +40 C the condition doesn't work well in the room. We took ventilator/fan which was near the door in the corridor. We were back to the room late in the evening, so we're able to open the windows and together with working ventilator we're able to sleep, otherwise no air in the room. I am assuming it is not same when weather is in the comfort zone.
Excellent location in old town. Free parking in garage, plot must be reserved in advance.Good mattress in bed.
Room was very hot. "Air conditioning" is 50-year old cooling devive in front of the window, and it is not enough to keep room cool. Addition to that, there is no ventilation in toilet/bathroom, so the hotel room is like steam sauna. Shower is also leaking, and water pressure is very low.Breakfast is very poor. Sortment of cold cuts and cheese, bread and some fruits. There is cooked eggs and some pastry also, but if they run out, staff doesn't bother to bring more.Staff doesn't speak english, and they seem little bit tired and rude, unless you happen to speak german or russian.
A great spread for breakfast. A large variety of cheeses, cured meats, vegetables and fruits!!!
AC was not working but the proprietar gave us a strong fan.
Wonderful location in the Old Town. Fabulous breakfast. Secure parking.
It was a bit difficult to find and the surrounding roads were very rough.
The location and breakfast were good.
There was no air conditioning and the room was so hot, not good for sleeping
Very cosy and peaceful. Perfect location in a friendly street in the heart of the old town. Simple breakfasts but very fresh and wholesome.
Nothing. It was just what we wanted after a hot and busy day.
I think the person serving us was also the owner. He was very motivated to cater to everyone's needs, even when facing stressfull clients arriving all at the same time and demanding immediate service. Rooms were tidy and well prepared. Breakfast was adequate and prepared with lots of attention to detail. The surrounding and ambience are hardly beatable.
As so often in Bulgaria, things were a little unfinished. Mostly in terms of random stuff cluttering corners of remote rooms and the garage, but also one couch had a screw sticking out where one of my friends hurt himself. Nothing bad, but it could have been avoided. Usually everything was made with attention to detail all around, so this must've been a minor oversight.
Perfect location, good breakfast, wondeful terrace.
The place is exceptional. The view from the windows is amazing.Owners are friendly and helpful.
I lacked hot water in the bathroom in the evening.TV was not working.Because of the location in the old town it is almost impossible to get in and leave because of the barriers.
