Subject: Urgent concern about flooding and sanitation at the hotel entranceDear Novotel Goa Panjim,I am writing to report a serious issue we encountered during our stay on [02 Jan 2026].After a smooth check-in and settling into our room, we went out for a quick dinner. Upon returning, our taxi dropped us on the street directly in front of the hotel. To our surprise, the entire drop-off/pick-up area was heavily flooded with what appeared to be sewer/drainage water.This created an unsanitary and unsafe situation. We had no choice but to step through the water to reach the entrance, and our shoes were soaked; we ultimately had to discard them. This experience was distressing and far below expected standards for safety and hygiene.We request:•An explanation of the incident and immediate measures taken to address the flooding and sanitation.•Assurance that proper drainage, cleaning, and preventive maintenance are in place to avoid recurrence.•Appropriate compensation for the damaged shoes and the inconvenience caused.Please let us know the next steps and whom to contact for resolution. I like everything.

Had a comfortable stay at hotel in the city center. Breakfast buffet is delicious with number of food items available. Staff is polite and helpful.

The location of the property is very convenient in Panjim. It is clean, well maintained and comfortable. The staff are cordial and helpful.

The smiling faces and the welcoming atmosphere made my stay very relaxing. Rooms are very nice and balcony added up to enjoy the stay.

New hotel, excellent location in Panaji. Room could have been slightly larger.

I thought that the portion sizes for orders in the restaurant were slightly small.

We recently stayed at Novotel Goa Panjim with our family, including young children and it was a truly memorable experience as the services provided is excellent with a smile on everyone’s face. All the best team Novotel Goa Panjim!!

The property is new, clean and comfortable. The staff is helpful and friendly. They make an effort to make you comfortable. The location is good.

Work table in the room could be much better. Important for business travellers.

Wonderful experience at Novotel Goa Panjim where staff was courteous and always available. Rooms are spacious with nice city view. Overall experience is wonderful.

Had a wonderful stay at the hotel, starting from valet service till check out, got the best service. Staff is very polite and helpful. Also the buffet breakfast is delicious.

Disappointing stay! Muddy water, Faulty AirCon, Lizard in room. Zero Service recovery

Muddy brown water from the hot water tap in the basin. Complained to front desk and they sent someone ti fix this while I was away. Air con panel and TV not working as such was freezing in the night and could not watch any TV - sensors had to be replaced. Lizard dropped on me when I drew the curtains. Nothing was done by the staff for any service recovery. Not what I had expected at a new hotel and with paying a premium price (over INR 14 K a night) for the room. I filled in feedback form and was assured that the Guest Experiences team would reach out to me but haven’t heard back from them.

Everything. The staff were very accommodating, pleasant, went beyond what was expected, to assisted . Special mention of Vikash, Bidesh, Lokam, Sanjana, Prince, Kankana, Vishal. Thank you all.

Breakfast was good and fresh..Variety of western and Indian options Rooms were clean and well maintained.Location was central to our destinations. Most of the staff were exceptionally courteous and attentive. F&B staff Vishal and Berbinshi sorry not sure of the spelling.

Counter staff some were helpful. All courteous however could have helped with taxi service App.. I wasn’t aware throughout my stay until I chance upon GOA miles and that made my traveling so much more affordable and convenient.

The hotel is new and the infrastructure is very nice. Rooms are very modern and clean. Well designed hotel and rooms. Breakfast variety and taste is good with Indian and International options. Valet parking is helpful. Great safety measures with security checks.

Service was unfortunately poor from 5 star standards. Encountered several issues: 1) There was no in-room dining menu or QR code in the room nor any details about spa. Requested an in-room dining menu 3-4 times to order some food but never received it. Eventually ended up eating from outside, 2) I had booked and paid the room for 3 but the room was only prepared for 2 considering all amenities (in some cases, just for one), Had to request items one by one again and again which was frustrating. Would expect a five star hotel to set these things up, 3) Wanted to keep our stuff in the luggage room but luggage "room" was an open space beside a pillar in the main corridor which doesn't seem secure at all, 4) Kettle wasn't working due to electrical issue and mini bar in the room was absolutely empty and had nothing to offer, 5) TV remote wasn't working (probably because of run out batteries), Fancy clock in the room wasn't working, 6) AC thermostat wouldn't go down below 23 degrees even if you set it to 19 degrees, 7) Only forks provided as cutlery on the breakfast table and had to request and chase for the remaining cutlery and even drinking water multiple times, there was a shortage of spoons clearly 8) Got a room on 2nd floor facing the pool and there was loud music throughout the night which was frustrating. Lot of these issues were conveyed and in such a case, a 5 star hotel would try to compensate through compliments in some way or the other but all I got was a string of apologies and nothing tangible which was more frustrating.This was a special visit but unfortunately left unsatisfied. Understand these might be considered small matters but the whole purpose of a 5 star experience is something premium which was unfortunately not delivered.
