Pros +
- Perfect location, near historic center in an area with lots of restaurants and shops. Harbour Molo Manfredi is very close 7-8 minutes walking distance so it's easy to catch the ferries to Amalfi Coast. There is also bus stop in front of the hotel and the lively Salerno seaside with nice bars is 2 min away. The area is full of both tourists and locals and feels safeStaff was very friendly and helpful to our requests and questions;If you are visiting for a few nights, the price compared to other accommodations in this area and Amalfi Coast is really cheap and convenient so you can overlook the flaws;
- The Location and staff
- Great location. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons -
- -Cleaning and hygiene needs to be improved; Bedding was old and didn't seem very clean, the towels left on our beds were wet; After cleaning our things were moved around the room-There is Irish bar below the hotel with live music until 1-2AM, can be an issue for light sleepers (the bar is not part of the hotel)
- It wasn't very clean overall, the bed covers were old, the shower was very small.
- Bed was very hard but still slept good.

The Location and staff
It wasn't very clean overall, the bed covers were old, the shower was very small.
Great location. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Bed was very hard but still slept good.
The location is excellent, a short walk from the centre of town. Nice staff - we had an issue with the room and the staff were very apologetic and immediately moved us to a new room. Decent breakfast.
When we turned on the AC in our room, it blew gross bits of foam onto the bed. The staff were kind and apologetic and moved us to a room in one of their other properties, Palazzo Luciani, just down the street. Unfortunately this place was awful. Mouldiest shower I have ever seen, smelly bathroom, one of the power points didn’t work..
After we made a complaint about the room, we got another one that was much better. But still wouldn't call this place a hotel. The only good point is the location and the helpful receptionists.
We booked a "deluxe" room at the hotel, but (as later we found out) got a room in the bed&breakfast. We were shocked by the dirt that we found in the bathroom (toilet was used and not flushed, hair in the washbasin, etc). The room and bathroom were poorly maintained. The shower was broken and the water sprayed all over the bathroom. There was no rack for the towels, nowhere to put them. The bed was extremely hard, impossible to sleep on. There was loud noise from the street. Basically, we chose this place because of the "English breakfast" they had offered. We were disappointed that there was no hot food, the breakfast was a croissant and a coffee. When it was not forgotten by the staff, there was some cheese, ham, yoghurt and hard-boiled eggs, but not even any fresh bread! The breakfast was at the bar of the "hotel" which was very cold in the morning. Definitely won't return here.
I requested a room change after being kept awake by a bright light on the balcony...this was arranged, and I ended up in a really beautiful room...much nicer than the original room.
A beautiful vintage b&b in the heart of Salerno. I liked the restaurant downstairs. The staff were friendly and helpful .
Was extremely well located for my purpose of a concert a the theatre Augusteo. Wifi worked well. Good cup of coffee and brioche at breakfast.
Decent room but hardly any room facilities. Bathroom was basic with a rather cramped shower and shower gel was the only amenity. Breakfast technically a buffet, but somewhat limited.
Amazing hotel, on one of the main streets in Salerno, 2 minutes distance from the sea and 2 minutes distance from the main street of the historical center. Amazing staff, they are all kind, great people, very funny, ready to help you with everything you need. I loved it.
Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, nice restaurant, delicious food.
Big stairs, no elevator, no WiFi in the room (only at the restaurant), old furniture...
Good location, minutes walking distance from the city center, port from where boats depart and excursions to nearby towns such as Amarfi and Positano. Meters from restaurants with great offers on their menus and deliciously prepared meals. Polite and friendly staff. I personally dined several times in the restaurant under the hotel "Ristorante del Centro Storico", trusting the recommendations of the waiters and always getting the delicious food I was longing for.
We decided to stay a night in Salerno before going to the central station and a train to Napoli. We had been a week in the Amalfi coast and it was refreshing with a city with tourists mixing with inhabitants. The hotel has a very good location and the reception is easy to find (located in a restaurant/bar) very close to the room. All personnel was very friendly and helpful. Salerno became a good acquaintance. ?
Nothing bad to say.
In the old city center
The place was really dirty, starting from the paint on the walls stained, the floor looked like it wasn’t even broomed before our arrival(full of hair and dust) the sheets and towels also looked suspicios with some stains and bits of hair, the ac had black mold in it and the bathroom as well + the location was pretty noisy until 3 am
Good breakfast in nice restaurant
Room old , need some remodeling, not curtains on windows, hard to sleep. Shower super small
Room was nice and clean. Bigger than expected. Perfect view from small balcony. AC working well. Perfect location, cannot imagine better place to stay in Salermo, few steps from beach, directly in downtown, many places opened to 2AM and longer for enjoying days off. Good breakfast from sausages & bacon, american potatoes, hams, cheese, yoghurt, croissants, juice and coffee per any choice...
Would recommend add small kettle to room.
The place is gorgeous but we had no idea that the cleaning lady would be using that space that we thought was our room! It was crazy. They were good about take away breakfast for my kid who never managed to get up on time.
The fact the cleaning lady used the room!
Coffee was excellent. Food was good. It was unclear however what was on offer to staying guests compared to passers by.
Shower was too small. Pillows were not comfortable. Cushions were dirty.
I love the staff and they were all very helpful
The room had insects with ants and a lizard
Very spacious rooms, comfy beds, clean throughout. Excellent breakfast, just enough to get you going for the day. No language barrier (English) with the very friendly staff. Close to bus stop going to Amalfi.
No wi-fi in the room even after 4 nights. Reception is decent if you have an EU data plan so it wasn't a problem for me.
location
it was very noisy above a bar playing loud music
