Cons -
- We stayed here for 2 nights in mid-January 2023. This hotel is really well designed and nicely appointed… BUT…the extreme level of noise in the middle of the night and early morning ruined it all. From constantly barking street dogs, crowing roosters (seriously!) to loud music coming from the neighboring Karaoke bar / BBQ, honking horns, people yelling on the streets; you can hear it ALL!! it’s super stressful when you are ON HOLIDAY trying to relax, and cannot get a proper night’s sleepDue to massive amounts of noise. Further, and this makes matters worse, it’s quite obvious that the owners went VERY cheap on the windows, as they are all single pane glass windows that keep out virtually no sound, I checked. At night, I even used my good foam ear plugs, and that wasn’t enough, and I kept getting woken up. Also, most of the staff don’t have passable English skills, making it hard to ask questions, and they seem like deer in the headlights when you speak to them.
