The Erawan Koh Chang

The only real good thing about this hotel is that the staff are trained, polite and friendly. Is one of the very few hotels in Thailand where I experienced same level of politeness of the stuff as in Wester countries. Breakfast is rather ok.

The value for the money is really low. The rooms are all broken and dirty. Spider webs included. The toilet door not closing... all in all like a 300 baht cheap hostel but expensive like Mariott. No charm at all, just plain concrete hotel with no mood.

The staff - the manager of this hotel was amazing. The kindest, most understanding human with so much compassion for my situation. The hotel was very clean. Room was large and modern. I felt safe here! Close to shops and restaurants - vibrant evening entertainment… I was after a more relaxing stay though.

The location was totally wrong for me, as a 30 year old solo traveller I got the wrong area… white sand beach is catered for an older crowd in my opinion. the hotel is on the opposite side of the road to the beach so it wasn’t as easily accessible as I’d hoped (but not far to walk at all a few metres if that!) The rooftop pool / bar area was a little run down. I left after one night to move to a different beach (Kai Bae).

I felt the staff went out of there way to help you… clean hotel

The boards on rooftop deck need to be replaced.. many broken and or soft boards with screws sticking up

The location of the property is excellent with the beach accords the road plenty of restaurants nearby

The bed was uncomfortable also the photos of the swimming pool on the booking.com website makes it look lovely however the pool area isn’t a nice place to relax it’s very untidy and old

Very close the transport network. Really good WiFi and connected tvs so you can watch your streaming accounts with ease.

The location was wonderful, all the tours picked us up from the hotel, the beach is right across the street and it’s beautiful. Shops and restaurants are right next to the hotel. The staff was extremely nice and helpful! We had a problem with our shower and they fixed it extremely fast! Room was spacious and ac worked great. Taxi to lonely beach costs 100baht per person.

Excellent breakfast buffet with changing selections every morning. The best hotel breakfast buffet I have ever experienced.Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable spacious room.

The water was from the underground , but this can not change as it in the island. Don’t have water supply from the mainland

For the price this is the best hotel on the island. The staff are very helpful and happy to arrange anything for you. I was given a late check out – they were so accommodating. The pool on the roof is quiet and away from the crowds.

Nothing everything was great

Big room with balcony (was upgraded), looked all new and very clean, helpful reception desk, great breakfast, central position (with beach just across the road).

Quite pricey, but was able to get discount (in low season).Pool on the roof not very useful (but not needed when you have beach just across the road).

The only 2 staff that were anyway pleasant were the young chap with ponytail and Lady in the breakfast room. Great bar (Oodies) with good food and music next door is the only redeeming quality.

Disappointing hotel, way overpriced. Grotty linen & towels, obviously old stock that needs to be binned & new linen purchased. No lockers beside the bed so nowhere to place your book or phone. Stained sofas, grubby, grubby, grubby. I understand that businesses have to recover after the effects of covid but even something as small as the Reception staff making more effort, try smiling guys! The only 2 staff that were anyway pleasant were the young chap with ponytail and Lady in the breakfast room. Great bar (Oodies) with good food and music next door is the only redeeming quality. Do yourself a favour and keep going down the coast til you hit Kae Bai beach, much nicer. Sorry guys but you need to make more of an effort at this price point. Definitely 2 star only.
