Chaplin Hotel Pondicherry

Except for the location, nothing is good, the hotel looks good from outside but inside the room for the amount they're charging its pathetic. Very bad experience for the price I paid for. Only good thing is location and nothing else.I can say bathroom area was clean.

I found the staff to be a bit rude on multiple instances, except for 1 individual whom I met in the morning, he was supportive and assisting but apart from that staff didn't seem to be welcoming. Also, the room was not well prepared, I had to ask for the toiletries and had to fetch myself. I expect good hospitality if I am paying a high price for my stay.

Location was nearby to most of tourist places in pondicherry city. Staff are polite.

Bed spreads are not changed at all.. bed sheets are never washed. Wash rooms are also not clean very bad maintenance. Alage are grown in buckets.. dirty..

Car Parking was an issuethe room which we got was cranky, with no windows...the room with windows was leaking (as it was raining)No provision for breakfast in the property

The staff is very helpful and the location is very convenient. It is at a walkable distance from most tourist spots. you can just come out of your hotel room and take a pleasant stroll through the small lanes nearby.

The bedsheets and pillows and towels could be cleaner. Most of them looked pretty used up and not fresh even after changing a few times. Cleaning could be more regular.

The location of the property is good. It’s right in the middle of White Town. The sea beach is approximately 500m away from the property. Good restaurants are nearby.

The facilities in the hotel was pretty bad. The rooms in the hotel were damp and the walls were patchy. The price they are charging from guests is not worth the experience in the stay. The bed was dirty. Bedsheet and blanket not clean. When asked to change the sheets, they right away refused saying only in the morning the sheets can be changed.

Room that I had stayed was spacious enough for a solo traveller. Bed was comfortable and linen were clean. Access to the hotel is easy and identifiable.

TV remote was damaged and taped. I heard another guest was also raising complaint over faulty TV remote. The hotelier must concentrate on these items too. Water seepage was found inside the bathroom. I didn't ask for another room as I had arrived at 10.30pm and felt tired. It is the duty of the hotelier to ensure all the rooms are in good state. I couldn't get hot water for bathing even at 8.30am. Probably the solar water heater is not good or under rated. Power plugs were too loose and didn't fit with mobile charger. I felt that the 1600 was a bit high. Direct enquiry would have been cheaper for me.

No private parking. Car needs to be parked in nearby streets

Awesome experience staying here. staff are very friendly and helpful. Reception response is quick whenever we request in-room service.The location is very near BEACH ⛱️ JUST 3 MINUTES WALKING DISTANCEand Markets ,Atm , Hotel near.Over all Good.. ?

First of all to say hotel chapelin is best in pondicherry where it's situated in white town and very walkable distance to beach food court,pub and temple..Secondly very calm place without any sound;Front office was very polite and owner was very genuine and friendly and fulfill guests requirements where with full safety especially for ladies and kids and taken care as a family member.Room service is also in time and staff also very kind.comparing to other hotels I suggest chapelin is the best rated in quality where we get peace and true happiness

The location is quite good as it is in the center. There is 24 hrs reception. Bar on the roof top.

The place is next to a sewage canal, the stink and the amount of mosquitos are impressive. It is difficult to sleep here because of the mosquitos. The wifi is useless. The reception was not really nice when almost doubled the price of a night after a few days of staying here, otherwise we should have left- it was cheaper to make the booking on booking.com. Even with the booking they were gonna ask more money. The room is dirty overall, stains on the wall and on the bedsheet.

The location is really worth to take , staffs are really co operative and well behaved.

Room was good. And location was near to beach.

No hot water and the Television is not working. Even though after informing the staff about hot water they didn’t resolve the issue. There was no room service done in the 2days I stayed there.

Staff was rude created confusion and charged us more if not dint stay quite even after paying, room was horrible and they even blamed us for a phone we never broke and the room has no tv it was broken

It was near and tidy and the staff were quite polite and helped me out whenever they could!

The location is the only good thing from this place

Where should I start.We arrive and there were no toilet paper, towels or hot water.We said that in reception and they answer that there are not toilet paper, and after a while we received one towel (we were 2) we complained about this situation and we receive another really dirty. (I attach one pic).The room has not free air, full of mosquitos cause the net was broken and there was naphthalene balls in all room so the smell was really bad and it's toxic by inhalation

It is located in the center of city. It's so near to travel all the tourist places

There is no heater facility. It would be great if you have this option.Bathroom door is not locking properly.
