Only the location

Our experience since the beginning wasn’t very pleasant. The staff at the reception wasn’t welcoming. Since there was no lift we had to carry our luggage on our own without any assistance. There weren’t any proper cleaning facilities. Our room was cleaned only once in our three day stay. Basic facilities in the room were not maintained i.e. toiletries were not there, dustbin in the bathroom was entirely broken. Upon asking for the said facilities, our request was not entertained. Even at the time of checking out, there was no staff present at the reception due to which we had to wait in order to hand over the keys. All in all, the stay was uncomfortable.

Very bad experience

The host is not at all responsive and no proper guidance.Unsatisfactory experience, I have booked room through this app on 13th Sept and also got my confirmation mail. While during the check-in on 16th Sept around 4PM, the host told that room have been cancelled and he showed me a room at 4th Floor which is not good at all without lift. I have already informed the host over the call but he haven’t assisted my on the arrangement. He pushed me to pay the advance which I did through Gpay and I asked to refund back since I not satisfied with the room. They are not bothering about the amount which I paid and not answering to my calls as well.

The location. It is very close to the Promenade beach.

The cleanliness. There were cobwebs all over the room and TV stand. The walls were dirty. There was also a sealed sewage pipe inside the room. The condition of the room was quite different from what was shared by the property manager on whatsapp.

The building with ages old architecture and most welcoming ambience. Alex, the property manager is a wonderful man! The hotel is right at the heart of most happening location of Pondy

No lift for a property with 5 floors , only one water bottle was provided for the whole day , blankets were delivered very late , no service , their kitchen is closed , the rooms were not like what they’ve shown in the photos

Very centrally located in a traditional French property ! I booked the queen room which was spacious enough and bathroom was clean. People who own the property were very kind and understanding! It definitely looks better than the photos and is walking distance from all the good cafes, the promenade and the church.

Due to the kitchen being shut there was no breakfast but there is a cute French patisserie right opposite

Nothing, the booking was cancelled and was not informed to me. Travelled all the way to find out that they have given the room to someone else..

The location (given my preference for the visit). I also appreciate the ambiance and cleanliness.

Price. Room is cramped. No supply of hot water into shower. No tissue paper supply to bathroom. Hot water issue is known to staff, but they didn't explain it a-priory. That would have reduced inconvenience.

As usual this is my second stay here , amazing climate and warm hospitality by the staffs

I pray I do not have another experience of stay like that in this hotel.

They offer a deluxe room with sea-view, of course with a high price. However, you end up finding that the room is at fifth floor, without a lift and only with narrow steep staircases. Because we asked for an extra bed while booking (which was never responded by the property) we were asked to take another room in the first floor with only marginally lower price, because there is not enough space to put another bed/mattress in the room we booked. The new so-called bigger room itself had hardly enough space to squeeze another bed. The indifference and arrogance of the front staff and house-keeping is make the experience terrible.

Thr hotel arbitarly cancelled our selectrd room and offered a changed room, wich was not st all worthy for the money.on our wsy to pondy ,at late night they cancelled our nookingsaying yhst we were not contactable . Even though the site says for no advance payment hotels was iinsisting for advance payment. .

The Ambience and location are the most dominating characteristics of the property, A downside for me was the WALK ON THE STAIR, apart from it I had the best stay in pondicherry i have ever had, And the staff were so helpfull too.

Elevator facility would be nice, They are working on it and this info was given to me by the owner

Pleasant

We were charged extra when we went for check-in. There were no basic room services available, they just gave the keys and that’s it. We paid 3800 for two people for just one night. There were no room services available and they even cut the Ac connection next day before even us checking out. Didn’t feel value for money.

Very poor

The rooms were not clean, one has to take steps to walk up to the rooms and there is no breakfast or coffee or tea available. This is not value for the money we paid.

The check in process only started off by wrong attitude from staff. Rooms not cleaned . Had dirt anyway. The stay was horrible experience for me

1. The villa didn't have an elevator which made our stay uncomfortable. We were not told about this at the time of booking2. Room size was small. The room barely gave a glimpse of the sea though it was described as Room with sea view3. No breakfast option was given4. Too many stray dogs in the neighborhood which keep creating a ruckus5. No telephone in the room

Good place and hospitality is good .live Aquarium in front desk is nice
