I only liked the location

I didn’t like the staff they were so Rude to us, wasn’t helpful at all. Their attitude was bad, didn’t feel welcoming at all. Food took forever to come from both restaurants approximately 1 and a half hours for just sandwiches. We had to ask for basic Things like cutlery and water. There is nothing luxury about this place. There’s no space in the rooms it was just all bad would not recommend staying there.

I’m really disappointed with the money I spent here

I did not like the staff they were not friendly at all, really hard to communicate. They are always frowning. When I went for dinner I had to keep asking for basic things like cutlery, tissues and water. When required for an extra room key they refused to give one for no reason. Nothing luxury about this place. Don’t waste your money here. I would not recommend. They advertise such spacious rooms but don’t be fooled the triple room is so small when added a bed.

Someone banged and kicked on my room middle of night, I was staying alone. When complained, they just apologised. Kept sending reminders to pay tax. And denied when I sent it. Overpriced, super bad service

Fantastic experience. The location is unbeatable—right along the seaside, with vibrant and lively surroundings in the evening that truly bring Pondicherry to life. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and always ready to help, from the reception to housekeeping, the bar, and the restaurant.The breakfast: excellent, a wide variety of delicious options. I also loved the pool area—it’s a perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring. The entire hotel was clean and well-maintained, adding to the comfort of the stay.Highly recommend for anyone visiting Pondicherry!

It’s a beachfront property by hi design(pudicherry’s renowned leather brand )in white town. It’s very well maintained.staff are very friendly. Food was great.

Great location on sea front, staff were really nice, breakfast was pretty good, coffee excellent. Hotel is a bit dated and could do with a bit of modernising but I suppose it gives a sense of old worldly charm that some might like. Expected this so was not a surprise and overall it met our expectations.

Roof terrace restaraunt although fine has quite a high level glass screen around perimeter which is grubby and it obsures what should be a great viewing area out over the sea front.

Location was excellent, just beside the rock beach. Room was a bit small than expected, but it had all the facilities for a comfortable stay. Complimentary breakfast was excellent and was wide spread. There were more dishes for one person to even taste all, it was a mix of south Indian, French and continental dishes. There was a spa which offered the guests some discounts or free services in the list.

There could have been a bath tub for the price that I paid for the room. The prices of the food was too costly then the MRP on them. The door handle of the room was loose, and the staff who showed us the room couldn't open it properly in a single shot maybe because of this.

The soundproofing of the room was so bad that i had to take sleeping pills and wear earplugs. The staff was very helpful and moved us to another room but it was just as noisy. It was either the kitchen or ac exhaust or pool pump.

location is excellent. Breakfast spread was also very good. The restaurant food is good.

For the price you pay, the rooms are not upto the mark to meet international standards. Also the washrooms need renovating,, its sub standard.

A perfect getaway for anyone who would love to explore a beach sun rise / sunset paired with great food and comfort. Staffs were helpful, breakfast was very decent , rooms were comfortable and location is top notch

South indian, north indian breakfast was great, french delicacies were decent but not all the items were good. Some croissants and cakes were not up to the mark.

Service. ACs did not work. Despite 10% discount offered - not on final bill. On pointing behaved rudely so we let the money go rather than spoil mood.

Extremely high priced in comparison to facilities. Breakfast was normal in variety but price was exorbitant.

It is possibly one of the best in terms of location. Situated on the promenade, which is closed to traffic, with clear views of the ocean from the rooms, or most of them. Being there on January 26, gave us a ring side view of Republic Day celebrations. A lot of great places to visit, including many must-visit restaurants are within walking distance,Was a little concerned after reading some of the negative reviews, but realised that those probably arose from an expectation mismatch. Yes, it is over-priced and since the hotel claims to be a five star, the expectations of service are thus set. It isn't a five star, barely a four. Once that is accepted, expectations are reset.The members of the staff at the restaurant(s) are friendly and helpful, or at least most of them. A shout out to the housekeeping team as well.Breakfast was a fairly grand affair, one area where they can rival a five star hotel. Has an excellent rooftop bar, with great views, if you have the right table. Great cocktails.

As it's not a real five-star, not all are properly trained. The chef, who used to hang around outside the kitchen during breakfast, was just rude and abrasive. I understand it's not his job to deal with breakfast orders, but then what was he doing standing around outside? The person at the reception who checked us in, could do with a crash course in non-aggressive communication. I understand that a late checkout may not be possible over a weekend, but a "no" need not be accompanied by a lecture.
