Sunlight Hotel Puerto Princesa

Best hotel I stayed at in the Phillipines. My favorite thing was the coffee making facilities and a kettle were provided which I didnt have at any other hotel I stayed in. Food was good and services was excellent. clean and spacious room.

The hotel was under renovation so perhaps this issue will be addressed, but I found the bed to be very hard and somewhat uncomfortable.

I have stayed at several hotels in Palawan but by far the Sunlight Guest Hotel is the best. It has great clean modern rooms with all the amenities of a 5 star hotel. The staff is more than excellent and friendly. The restaurant and location are great!

The hotel makes every effort to be the best. There is nothing that this hotel falls short on. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. I just hope that everyone won't use it because then the economic price will go up! Lol!

Great downtown location walking distance to the boardwalk and shops. Nice gym and good buffet breakfast. What stood out was the staff, they were friendly, accommodating to help us book what we needed (excursions, in room massage, transfer to airport).

The bed was very firm and uncomfortable. Felt like sleeping on a box spring mattress

Strong odor of mold and mildew. Pretty intense.

I really enjoyed the friendly professional staff, location, and the food.

Unfortunately there was a strong odor in two of the rooms. One of the rooms had a chemical odor that was overpowering and too much for me. Thankfully we only booked the room for one night. The gasoline fumes in the garage absolutely is a health hazard. I noticed that there were fans along the walls throughout the garage and none of them working. If this was not an issue in the two rooms and parking garage I would have given a solid 9 rating.

Great location near SM mall and Bay walk. Good sized rooms. Nice breakfast. Great value.

Rooms had a musty smell that reduced once air con was turned on. Would recommend requesting a room with an external window might help with this issue.

The room is very spacious, and the view is beautiful.. I didn't expect it to be too big. The breakfast was very good, as well as the location. It's within walking distance of the supermarket and the bay area.

The staff was very friendly and accommodated a very early checkout with breakfast to go. The location was excellent, and the rulers were nice.

The beds were very hard. However, I did sleep well.

Lack of room amenities.there were no face towels,room slippers,the safety box is broken.

The room is clean and comfortable. The hotel location is in the downtown so malls, markets, and restaurants as well as the "baywalk" are easily accessible.

Not enough towels ( slippery stepping out of shower) no toilet paper( had to ask), I reserved king bed, didn’t get king bed, and beds are very firm to the point of being uncomfortable ( I had to purchase a foam pad to lay on the bed)and lastly, the hot breakfast food was not hot . I asked for drip coffee and was told it was not plugged in and would take 30 minutes ?

A good comfy room for a short stay, the WiFi was good and the staff were helpful. The location is close to most facilities. We would stay again next time

The Sunlight Hotel was clean, spacious, and in a great location. Rooms were bright and clean. Everything was in walking distance- the boardwalk, a mall, shops, and a market. The staff were very friendly! Breakfast was delicious with so many different options. I will definitely stay here again.

The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was beautiful. The hotel was comfortable overall. Breakfast OK. The gym was good for bodybuilders but not comfortable for a cardio workout so I ended up leaving.

This was the least comfortable bed I have slept on in all of Asia. The policy about outside alcohol felt punitive and restrictive. And, if you are going to INSIST on us buying beer from you it should be at market value.

Good location, close to local sights, restaurants, shopping malls and walks.

I had a pleasant 2-night stay at the property. The staff were consistently courteous and helpful, which made the experience smooth and comfortable. The room size was generous and well-suited for both rest and getting some work done. The hotel's location is also convenient—easily accessible and close to key areas in the city.

A couple of areas for improvement would make future stays even better. The bed could be more comfortable; adding a mattress topper would go a long way. Additionally, enhancing the breakfast buffet with a few more options—like soup or a simple salad—would be appreciated, especially for guests staying more than one night.Overall, I had a good experience. A beautiful hotel that is in a great location. We especially liked the spacious room and nice bathroom. The staff was wonderful.

Room service was immediate. Bathroom was huge and fully modern with freestanding tub, shower, toilet and sink. View of harbour. Room was made up every day and didn't need to ask. Breakfast satisfactory and service once again very prompt. Ample underground car parking. 2 laundries nearby. SM Mall and Bayfront restaurants in walking distance.

Beds were firm. Neighbourhood is downmarket. For hotel taxi pick-up you need to exit arrivals, turn right, walk to end, cross road, go past taxis to the very far side to be greeted by driver as they are not allowed in the arrivals area or even outside.
