The pool is amazing, with the view on the ocean, beautiful. Love having the two restaurants on site, the spa, the beautiful gym, bikes to go to town, little attentions like drinks on arrival, little gifts, airport transfer etc

Not much to do around the hotel

We spent only two nights at the hotel, but it was truly unforgettable. We enjoyed the spa and a wonderful relaxing massage, paddled a kayak out to the sandbar, and explored the nearby mangrove areas — all of which made the stay even more special.The staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely professional. Their kindness made us feel like a king and queen throughout our stay. The meals were delicious, and the overall design and atmosphere of the hotel were absolutely stunning — beautifully planned and a pleasure to experience.Thank you to the entire team for making our stay exceptional. We can’t wait to return!

The weather wasn’t great and all tours were cancelled because of it, but of course this was not the resort’s fault.

The property was pristine and the accomodations were excellent. Staff were very, very friendly and tended to our needs. Mike the General Manager was very visible and talked to us daily. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Funny Lion. Thank you!

The facility was exceptionally clean. The staff were excellent. Offered two restaurants on the property with great food. The pool was very nice and clean. They also prepared breakfast to-go for us on the morning of our flight.

Beach is not very good for swimming. During low tide the beach is non-existent and during high tide it is very shallow. If unlucky like us and low tide happens to be during the day, you’re stuck swimming in the pool.

We loved everything about the property. The “jungle” theme was evident in every detail, big or small. The staff were friendly and attentive. Shoutout to Ms. Abby at the front desk who welcomed us but we didn’t get to thank when we left.

It’s a bit far from the town center. But it was always easy to ask them to book us a ride.

Everything... Starting with the complimentary drink at check in, the staff, who was always there, ready to help, any concerns, any questions, all of them were amazing. They're very down to earth people. The pool is 24/7, the rooms are big and very comfy, the food is great, the atmophere perfect. Free kayak rental and going to a nearby sandbar in the sea.

There's nothing to write here. The only thing we didn't like was leaving the place :/

Our stay at The Funny Lion in Puerto Princesa was absolutely delightful! We were so impressed with everything the property had to offer. The staff truly made our experience exceptional; they were incredibly amazing, especially JP and the wonderful girls whose names we regrettably didn't catch. Their attentiveness and warm hospitality stood out. We also thoroughly enjoyed the food at the restaurant – every meal was simply amazing! Beyond the fantastic staff and delicious food, the hotel itself was great, offering a comfortable and enjoyable environment. A huge bonus was their efficiency in arranging all our transportation throughout our stay in Puerto Princesa, which made exploring the area so much easier and more convenient. We highly recommend The Funny Lion for anyone visiting Puerto Princesa!

The little touches were great! Treats dropped off in the evening every night like cookies/cakes/sweets. The parting gift. The staff were all friendly and willing to help.

The place was just a little out of the way, so if you want to explore puerto princessa, you’ll just have to make sure there’s an easy way to get back to the hotel. Also, I don’t know if they need to mention that they’re waterfront since it’s not a swimmable waterfront because it’s mangroves, but the pool was great!

The staff are just amazing at the Funny Lion. They go above and beyond to ensure you have a great stay and always make time to have a chat over breaky or drinks by the pool. The C75 restaurant was just outstanding. The best food we've had in Philippines in 3 weeks.The hotel also was happy to help organise tours and travel at reasonable prices without extraordinary mark ups like other resorts we've stayed at. Breakfast was great. Rooms were great. Bed was comfy. Really have no complaints. I would give it a 10/10 if it wasnt for the location!

There isn't much around this Funny Lion in terms of restaurants or shops (I felt like Coron FL was closer to the action) so it's a bit of an effort to get into the restaurants etc in town. That being said C75 was amazing so we just ate there twice ?

New, clean, fresh and excellent restaurants, especially the French Vietnamese Bistro.

Everything. The hotel is well-appointed, classy, and very comfortable. Food and service is excellent. The staff is great and service is personalized. The hotel can arrange transportation for you by taxi at a very reasonable rate and their accredited drivers are professional and trustworthy. I loved the complimentary welcome snacks. It was such a relaxing place to stay. Even the pool was heated at night.

The hotel is quite remote from the town and it’s a 15 minute drive by taxi. Not a problem for me since I wanted a quiet vacation. But if tourists are hoping for a place to be walking distance to nightlife or other restaurants, this might not be the place for you. It’s more of a retreat.

Funny lion excellent place to stay - lovely pool area and the staff are wonderful

The service was incredible - staff always smiling, remembered our names and make the experience what it was.

Clean and spacious room, relaxing pool and mangroves. We arrived early and left late and were allowed to use the facilities without issues.

On checkout there were items on our bill which didn’t belong to us - check your restaurant and bar bills very carefully to avoid surprises. Massages cost more than double the other hotels we stayed at in Puerto Princesa. Service at the restaurant was very slow.

The property was still very new, I was very happy with all the amenities! The Beds were super comfy, and the staff were super friendly.front desk booked our taxi for us as we were a group of 4 and taking a tricycle would have been more expensive surprisingly.

Unfortunately, there were 0 vegan options in their restaurants. But there was a delivery service in Puerto Princessa that could deliver vegan food.

It's a very unique place and relatively new infrastructure (16 months). The staff are friendly, approachable, helpful, polite and respectful. The view is beautiful. The room is great. The bed is great. The water pressure in the shower is also great. Great food in the in house restaurants and awesome pool.

The hotel facilities and amenities are top notch. The food in both restaurants were excellent. There were a lot of staff to accommodate requests and they were well trained and friendly.
