ibis Styles Kota Bharu

Of all the 5- and 4-star hotels and boutique hotels I stayed at, I felt most comfortable at this hotel. I felt very relaxed in those rooms. The rooms are equipped with modern facilities. I liked that they separated vanity area from the toilet and bath. The rooms have water filters which I find most thoughtful, not just for the environment but also for the customers. I din't have to buy my own water bottles or constantly call them to replace the packaged plastic bottles or ration those bottles. I could drink 3 liters of water a day without feeling the guilty throwing plastic bottles in the trash. The beds are my another favorite, they were soft and comfy. Modern TVs with free selected movies. The hotel is close to the city center, Jalan Istana, Aeon mall, bus terminal and popular eateries. All are just less than 1 km away. I did walk to city center and few pasar malams at night.

The Streats cafe didn't have much local food options.

The room is clean and well-maintained.

Maybe face or hand towels can also be provided. Only a bath tower is provided. Breakfast can also have more variety.

Definitely not a bad stay, but for the price could be better- wi-fi seemed a bit flakey and cleanliness of the bathroom could be approved. Also, room design allows only limited privacy in the bathroom which I find terrible. Definitely not comfortable for more than one person.

The water quality was not clean as yellowish sometime , this is only commend otherwise will be almost perfect for a stay over in KB

Good facilities for a short city stay. Suited for business travel as well. Breakfast spread was good with a a balance of local and continental. Room had all facilities needed and even had a UV sanitiser for small equipments like mobile phone. Location is good - close to places of interests and short drive to different beaches. Staff were very helpful and able to give recommendations on food etc. Hotel is well maintained and all areas are very clean. Nice ambience throughout.

Like many hotels, no hand towels provided so that was a bit inconvenient.

The room was exceptionally great despite the space. They have their own seletion of movies on the TV. Wifi is indeed fast speed. Airconditioning was okay, bathroom okay. For the muslims, sajadah is available upon request. What I love the most: No noise was heard from outside or in the streets.

The food for sahur was not good. I understand that it is super early in the morning but it is not an excuse to maintain good food quality. Nobody was efficient in refilling the food that ran out during sahur time. No taste , all bland food even though it has good coloring. No need to include pastries, my husband ate some and it felt like it was yesterday's one very dry. Not worth our money at all, I hope to see improvement in this area.

Room was comfortable and had everything that needed. Staff helpful and check in and out was simple.

I've stayed at Ibis Hotel Kota Bharu five times now, and it never disappoints. From the moment you step in, the staff welcomes you with warm smiles that truly make a difference after a long journey.The rooms are always clean, and I really appreciate their new concept, which offers much better privacy between the bedroom and bathroom. All is superb!!! The room, the pillows and the mattresses are really superb!

The toilet is too small.The parking area is a bit crowded. I request an interconnecting room, but unavailable.
