Our room was tastefully furnished and exceptionally comfortable, while the communal areas were beautifully maintained, evoking the warmth and intimacy of a private home rather than a typical hotel.A small note for future guests: the property doesn’t hold an alcohol license, so you may wish to bring your own if desired.All in all, it was a tranquil, intimate, and truly memorable stay—one that exceeded all our expectations.

I had a lovely stay here! The breakfast was very nice — fresh, tasty, and a great way to start the day. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, perfect for unwinding. One of the standout features of this property is definitely the staff — extremely friendly and welcoming, they truly made the experience more enjoyable.

If there’s one area for improvement, it would be the room amenities, which could use a little upgrade. Overall, a pleasant and peaceful stay!

This is a wonder place to stay, full of history and lovely large comfortable rooms. The staff attended to our every need, nothing was too much trouble and the food was excellent.

The Wi-Fi was pretty poor and needs to be looked at.

It’s tired it needs an uplift the dining room charges have dust that’s looks like grime as a result of not being clean regularly

Having previously stayed at Tamarind Hill I knew we would be happy with our stay. However we were delighted to be upgraded to The Admirals Suite which was a wonderfully comfortable historic space with antique furniture.

Just powder coffee available, I would expect good espresso. Dinner menu should be improved.

horrible expérience in this hotel. the building is a wonder though it is not maintained well. very dark and dirty room with the ceiling totally eaten by wood termites that are flushing a lot of dust on the floor. there was also a big party in the villa nearby so we did not sleep for a minute until 4am. this was by far the worst experience we’ve had in Sri Lanka. an absolute disgrace miles away from 5*. staff were very nice despite the situation and they found another hotel for us but still charged us the full price fro one of the worst night of our lives.

A very private and tranquil property - perfectly located to enjoy Galle in the afternoons/evenings, but with all the delights of a more secluded setting. The room was delightful, and communal facilities superb. It felt more like a private home than a hotel. We have already visited twice, and will certainly return again!

Beautiful property - Colonial styled old building, well maintained and kept. Must if you want to enjoy the feel of an colonial style stay but the food options were limited and taste could have been better considering the hospitallity of team and beautiful property

The location was nice, Hospitable staff, comfortable and spacious rooms.

The food quality, The room patio had grass that was overgrown, the staff aren’t trained well but they are kind, helpful and welcoming.

The hotel is in a well maintained Dutch bungalow with excellent breakfast, hospitality and warmth. This hotel has amazing vibes, the swimming pool is amidst green garden. This is best propoerty to enjoy heritage with modern amenities. Highly recommended for couples looking for solace, peace and tranqulity. The english breakfast is amazing with good fruits, juices, bakery basket, hash brownies, and pan cakes.

The property was beautiful. Check-in was effortless and seamless. The staff was amiable throughout. The room was spacious. The AC worked fine, the bed was big enough for two people. The bathroom was one of the biggest I've seen. They had rainfall shower-type thing. Heck, the bathroom even had a fan in it. There's a small open area behind the room so you can smoke out there if that's your thing. WIFI and cable TV were free.

It was a bit out of the way. They offered to call you a taxi to the fort which was convenient but very expensive.

It’s a heritage property that they have restored and maintained. They have sustainability values and one of the best team of staff on ground. Add peacocks, monkeys and other birds to this mix, it’s a lush green tropical mini-haven.
