Pros +
- Room looked nice
- Good location, food, room was cosy
- Great old pub, great location, staff were friendly, locals were friendly. Room was very basic but comfortable enough, clean, had a tv, fan.
Cons -
- Bed squeeked all night and there was a sound all morning coming from the wall that made me put earplugs in. Hardly slept . TV wasnt tuned (only has sbs and Abc ) and no milk for coffee/tea.
- The remote for the fan was missing from the room so I couldn't use that, the tv wasn't plugged in amd couldn't get to the plug as it was inside the cupboard behind the fridge.
- Meals were a bit pricey, I went and got take away. Would be very noisy when bands are playing there as all the rooms are adjacent to the beer garden and next to the toilets.

Location
Room wasn’t clean, particularly the shower. It was disgustingNo ironing boardNo sugarVery noisy
Good, enjoyable.
Need more counter space in the bathrooms to place toiletries, more clothes hooks in the bedrooms, and ‘benches’ in the showers which have been removed.
TV comfy bed
Could of told me where to put the keys after I checked out
Asked for extra pillows, I waited half an hour and had to ask again.Blower being used outside our door at 7am which woke us up.Man in female guest bathroom cleaning, no sign used to say bathroom being cleaned. I entered the bathroom and did not know he was in there straight away, he just said hi and kept cleaning. This was at 7.30 am. I was going to make a cup of coffee in my room but both cups were dirty from previous occupancies. Asked the cleaner about clean cups and he proceeded to wash them under the tap with just his hands , no cloth or cleaner. Our check out time was not until 10am . The room itself was clean and comfortable.
Location, meal, staff
Outside area near accommodation was loud until 12pm.
Everything was fine until a staff member came with a blower and blew all the debris over us. It was before our checkout time. We asked him to come back in 10 mins to finish but he continued on. I had to get angry with him before he would stop
Cockroache issues. Hot water kettle had to be placed on the rubbish bin to be able to plug it into power. To operate the fan you needed to leave the light on. Having to wander off to the common bathroom to get water for the kettle. No tea bags in the room or milk. Bathroom facilities could be a lot cleaner. One toilet leaking water it seemed. In the bathroom not enough hooks or bench space to leave your clothes and towel so they stayed clean and dry.I didn't mind that it was old and a little shabby but it could have been cleaner.
room stunk and was dirty bathroom had no form of soaps or anything and was also un clean
Location.Only good if seeing band, getting drunk and flop into bed and leave first thing next morning.
Rooms small and dirty. Shared bathroom old, dirty and outdated.Towels not refreashed daily. Kitchen dining right out front of your rooms. Hotel guest bathroom keeped open to pub guest. Food over priced.
Location
The fact that I could not have a shower because there were drunk females, sitting and drinking in the cubical. I could not shower before leaving the pub because the bathroom was disgusting, littered with paper towels, cups, and vomit. The bathroom for persons staying at the pub was opened to the general public - why?
Staff were absolutely lovely, happy, very welcoming and kind!! Room was spacious, quiet, comfy and clean. Amenities were good and family friendly. Meals were exceptional, generous and delicious!! Restaurant staff were very thoughtful and kind too.
Beautiful location , beautiful pub lots to areas to sit and enjoy . Room is basic just a bed and a fridge , but for the money I rate it 10/10 , very good value and if your not fussy about wanting everything brand new and pretty then you will like it . Hardwood floors are a nice touch . And secure parking also a bonus , plus the pub is great with lots of charm
No single twin bed option had to share a bed with a mate sleep head to toe and build a make shift bolster ,
No breakfast was needed. The bedroom was clean and the bed comfy .
The bathroom ladies guests, and disable Toilets both needed a deep clean of the tile walls and floors the old sand stone walkway needed a goodvwash and the cement floor near the entrance to the bar all could be cleaner
BASIC PUB ROOM. No air con and stiff bed. However staff were lovely and not far from all the cafes for breakfast in the morning
The location was excellent. The main reason that we stayed with you was to visit our friends in Buxton.
From room 7 the locality of the bathroom was a bit far in the middle of the night.
Staff, pub, bedroom
Bathroom was horrendous
The staff were helpful and friendlyThe food was excellent!
The noise from the garden area echoed you heard every squeak
