Pros +
- The appearance of the hotel in general was quite pleasant and the staff were polite and friendly when we arrived. We received our key and went to the room. Didn't have much interaction with the staff for the duration of the stay due to time commitments for events we were attending. The size of the room was quite spacious and the beds were quite comfy especially after a long day. Also the added bonus of having Netflix and other movie channels available free was quite handy. Unfortunately we didn't get to try the food, as we ate on the way to and from our event due to time restrictions.
- Great food, very clean and a unique historical significance. Close to amazing lookouts and blue mountains bushwalks.
- Location was excellent. Bistro meals were great. Spacious family room.
Cons -
- Unfortunately the negative things we discovered in the room and in the ground floor toilets, the shower head in the room and in the bathroom located upstairs in the hallway next to our room appeared old and antique looking and it took several attempts to get a suitable hot water flow and the pressure from them was poor especially the one in the bedroom to the extent my Daughter ended up having a cold shower. Also the lid of the toilet seat in the room was broken and the toilets downstairs although we didn't actually use them, appeared quite run down and in poor condition. The urinals were stained and appeared rusted and corrosion on the metal surfaces. Also we understood that there was a bar downstairs which was all good, however we weren't aware that there was going to be live bands playing on the Friday and Saturday nights and due to the event we were attending at Bathurst, we were having to leave early in the morning and were arriving back late in the evenings and were looking forward to a much needed sleep after a long drive. Due to the loud music, it was difficult to get to sleep as it travels upwards throughout the hotel. If it was possible to install some effective sound proofing to reduce the noise level upstairs in the rooms, then that would help.
- The room lacked air conditioning. There was some general heating that turned off at 9pm and the room was very cold after that.
- The room faced the train track side. Trains honk during the night.

Amazing stay to discover BlackHeath. Just couple of minutes from the Train station. Spotless room and bathroom. It's really the place to be. During lunch time is full, and food looks amazing. At night there was live music and I tasted of my best ciders! THey have electric blankets and the location is super convenient to discover the wonders of the Blue Mountain. It's an heritage building and it was visited by C Darwin!
Great location, Good Amenities..
The room faced the train track side. Trains honk during the night.
Not that much
Rooms were small, shared bathroom, small bed, uncomfortable pillows, noisy.
Staff were great. Place was clean and comfortable.
Wifi wasn’t working while we were there.
It was central, historical, clean and comfortable.
Not enough power plugs or usb attachments.
Location and meals
Bathroom smelled of sewarage
Room was great ?
Shower was not good.First night water was cold.Water pressure was shit
Beautiful guest house style pub.Very clean ,comfortable and very historic and a lot of history regarding reaches and blackheath
Let cation was very good and information asAbove in previous question
friendly staff, clean room, quiet location, beautiful outlook
Our room was a good size and the beds were comfortable. A fan helped keep us cool and also drowned out the noise from the pub on Friday night. We enjoyed a meal at the pub on Friday night and it's was a short walk to town for dinner on Saturday night.
The hot water was a little temperamental.
The hotel is conveniently located in Blackheath, with plenty of dining options available nearby.
The parking area was a bit muddy on the day we arrived. It could do with some landscaping.
We were close to all the amenities we needed, and it was very affordable. Staff were friendly
I have a few food intolerances and there is really not much available for me when I am out and about so I have to take my own food wherever I go. Having a mini fridge in the room would have been really helpful for this.
The pub, staff , dining area is nice. Good vibe for dinner.
1. Located just across the train which is operating till late hours and is noisy.2. You can hear the live show from the pub in the rooms and that continued until 11pm so not ideal.
Clean rooms, clean bathroom. Very friendly staff. Very friendly locals in the pub downstairs. The beer garden looked great, easy parking for guests. Close to all the things in Blackheath.
No bar fridge in the room but that wasn't a big deal. The shower head wasn't great but even still, I'd be back in a heartbeat to stay there again and make good use of the beer garden and the new outdoor deck they are building.
Location
Small rooms. No room for a chair so you have to sit on your bed. The room are too small for queen size beds. Only suitable for single bed. TV mounted high up on wall. Overpriced for what you get.
Great, old hotel inn in Blackheath, minutes away from the Blue Mountains with many coffee shops and food places within a few minutes walk. The train station is across the road and will take you to Sydney. I didn't realise it was a pub and we were staying on new years eve but it wasn't noisy and we were able to get meals at the restaurant which were very nice. I love the historic setting. Well maintained. Staff were lovely. Would happily recommend.
Very clean, super close to the train and an easy walk to some nice trails.
Not the quietest sleep, the doors are thin so you can hear people out in the corridor. We could also hear traffic and trains from our room
