Pros +
- Beautiful building, nice breakfast.
- We had a pleasant and relaxing stay at your hotel, with beautiful surroundings and fantastic, very helpful staff. We only had breakfast at your hotel, which was delicious. I enjoyed the view of the long driveway with the water fountain.
- Loved our visit to The Convent. It's a place we had hoped to visit for quite some time. We stayed in room 17, and had access to a lovely verandah from which to sit and watch the world go by. Peaceful and elegant ambience with delightful staff and relaxing atmosphere. They provided an extremely comfortable and clean room, served us a couple of complimentary drinks by the fireplace after we returned from our dinner out and we enjoyed a very tasty breakfast in their dining area the next morning. We loved exploring the property and discovering the interesting sculptures featured in different parts of the estate. Would certainly return in the future. ?
Cons -
- The outside of the building could do with a repaint.
- I have a dodgy knee, so the stairs were a bit tricky for me. I was aware they don't have a lift, so I was prepared to deal with this. The lovely receptionist offered to help with our bags but my poor husband, being the gentleman that he is, didn't want to "burden a lady with the load". He did most of the lifting and carrying for us.
- All the rooms on the upper floor face the shared balcony, so there's no privacy because the room's interior curtains (the blackout curtains and the thin one, for decoration so you can't see inside) are attached, and if you close one, they both close. Therefore, during the hours when there's light outside, you have to keep the curtains closed and turn on the room lights. This should be resolved.

Beautifully restored historic accommodation set in gorgeous landscaped grounds. Staff were amazing and very helpful, providing a freshly made coffee in the morning before breakfast started. Very attentive and helpful with advice on where to go and also assisted with luggage. Restaurant on the property but was not open the night we stayed.
Breakfast wasn't a buffet, but it was very good, plentiful, and complete, including barista-style coffee. The room was fine and comfortable. The bed and pillows were good. The bathroom was comfortable, though it could have been more updated.

The convent was beautiful and I enjoyed relaxing on the verandah watching the local kangaroos. It is in a great location and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The chef cooks a really nice breakfast.
The staff are the stars of the hotel. Besides that, the place is beatiful, the food in the neighboring restaurant was amazing and it was peaceful. The bed was really good, the temperature in the room was good.
I was taken aback a little bit by the old bathrooms but on a quick conversation with one of the star hosts we found out they are closing for the renovations of the bathrooms. We will come back to check it out.
Staff were lovely. The decor is amazing. Beautiful location where they film farmer wants a wife Australia.
The bathroom was tired with the grout in the tiles needing replacing. The cupboard in the bathroom smelt musty and there was a bit of mould.
Old world charm. Very country feel. Beautiful setting and very elegant looking buildings
It was where we got married 4 years ago
It was a disabled room & the bathroom facilities were very poor !!Lighting was terrible & shower facilities were terrible too Very very small shower head & the restaurant attached to the facility was incredibly poor
We stayed in a Garden Suite and had an amazing night. The suite felt like our own private cottage. The decor is stunning, the bathroom is immaculate with an amazing bathtub. We sat on the porch in the morning, watching the bunnies hop near the pool/tennis court while we had our morning coffees. Should have booked an extra night, we didn’t want to leave.
Breakfast options were fantastic, made fresh to order. The room was so beauitful & peaceful. We ate at CIRCA restaurant and it was outstanding.
Nothing could have been better, except a longer stay.
It’s gorgeous
No bar. The minibar was not restocked and had used milk in it.
Beautiful building. Close to day in the green. Wonderful staff. Breakfast included.
Loved it all
Breakfast at the hotel offers a somewhat limited (but satisfying!) selection of options with the staff going above and beyond to ensure we had exactly what we wanted. Room sizes are large and well furnished (if a bit dated). The grounds are absolutely beautiful. The restaurant and winery on the property are excellent.
The rooms are pricey are due for an upgrade. The breakfast & wine/cheese trays available to guests are the only food options at the hotel so if you need food after hours you'll have to order in or leave the property.Additionally, phone/cell service can be spotty at best here and the WiFi isn't the greatest.
Delicious breakfast on the balcony looking over the garden. A stunning building with beautiful gardens, big verandahs. Very relaxing stay. Staff helpful and friendly.
The entire property was beautifully maintained and added to the vibe of the whole area. Our room was fabulous and we were lucky enough as it was also the last one available. The staff were engaging and helped us with seeing a few venues at short notice. The food and wine selection at Circa 1876 was absolutely devine! As was breakfast.
Couldn't seriously fault the property.
The whole atmosphere & garden & bush setting - beautiful & serene- good for the soul. Staff were lovely & good service. We will be back again next year for our anniversary!
The shower - awkward to get in/out of.
Stunningly restored building in a breathtakingly beautiful location - breakfast was excellent and the evening meal at nearby Circa 1876 allowed a lovely walk under starlit skies totally free of light pollution
The friendly welcome. All staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, served with a smile. Bed was very comfortable.
Can't think of anything.
