    Cons -

    • I booked for 2 adults and 2 kids including breakfast. But had to pay extra for kids breakfast whi is not correct. And hotel did not have a fixed price structure and different people at the reception give different pricing for breakfast. Very bad.

It’s was really nice and big and nice views and very spacious.

Bathroom of my villa. It’s look very old feels like u are in an age care bathroom. No bodywash provided. Also gives a feel of hospital or age care bathroom.

The water parkThe mini carnivalRoom was very big

The buffet was quite expensive and for a family of four it could be a bit cheaper.

    The staff were great

Rooms very out dated, beds were very very uncomfortable to the point where we went home at 4am.Bit dirty and sheets stunk

Great facilities, the brewery was great with quality food

A bit of mould on the bathroom

The facilities and restaurants were beautiful.

The pillows in the room were very high and bed wasn’t every comfortable. We were in room 832 and there was a repetitive noise the hotel day and night (maybe a pipe or something). My sister had room 239 and had a beautiful spacious room with a view of the pool but paid less than us.

The property is situated in the lovely Hunter valley which is beautiful, we loved our room it was very large with a huge bathroom and also powder room , room service was quick and breakfast was included in the price and had lots of variety. It had an adults pool which was great as well as the bigger pool. We enjoyed our overnight stay.

Our room said with a view but ours was a view of a roof however the room itself was amazing

Ant fault a thing about our stay, food excellent, room excellent, staff excellent, one of the waitresses was extra special, we asked where was good to eat after we did our wine tour, she told of us one place that we went to, she even remembered to ask us next day how our whole day went

Was too hot when I played golf

Everything, our 3rd time there and its always lovely. Buffet breakfast is delicious, nice pool and water park.

Unfortunately one day a teenagers group was very annoying in the pool area, I didn't see any security around there. Also, we run out of shampoo one day, and the next day for conditioner and body wash, we waited for 20 minutes until one lady brought us.

Lots to do for the children

We booked Ridge’s Resort Hunter Valley expecting a comfortable family-friendly stay, but unfortunately our experience was anything but that.Check-in was at 3:00 p.m. and we arrived around 4:00 p.m. Wanting to make the most of the good weather, we took our children swimming straight away. When we returned to the accommodation around 7:00 p.m., we discovered multiple issues: ants all over the floor, cockroaches throughout the house, and several spiders. I immediately tried to call reception multiple times to report this, but no one answered. There was only an option to leave a voicemail, and no one ever called back. The next morning, I tried calling reception again—still no answer. We went swimming again, and later that afternoon I attempted to call once more, again with no response. At that point, I went to reception in person (less than 24 hours after check-in) to report everything. I also raised concerns about algae all around the pool area, particularly near the water park and the tables and chairs. This was extremely slippery and dangerous—I nearly slipped while carrying my one-year-old, and I witnessed multiple children and even an adult fall due to the algae.I spoke with a female manager who offered housekeeping to re-clean the room. When we moved the couches earlier to allow our baby to crawl, we found food crumbs and chip debris underneath, so we accepted this option. Pest control was also suggested, but this was not suitable due to a medical condition and a crawling baby. Moving to another house was offered, but it was only a few houses away, still facing the golf course, and would have required packing up a pantry full of food and all our belongings with young children—completely impractical.I asked for a partial refund. When the next (male) manager came on duty, I explained everything again.

Lots for the kids to do, which was great for families, and the rooms are nice and big with plenty of space to spread out. Overall, it’s a very family-friendly place, though some shared areas could be better managed during busy times.

When the pool opened at 7am, guests were already lined up to rush in and claim multiple pool chairs, then leave for breakfast. This meant there were no chairs available for young families who wanted to swim early. It created a frustrating experience and felt poorly managed, especially during peak times.

Breakfast room was too busy with people so we cancelled the breakfast option we initially went for. We didn't spend enough time there to enjoy the facilities, but the room was comfortable and clean. We had dinner at the restaurant, which was okay, but nothing special for the price point. The restaurant waitress was lovely and attentive.

Later closure time for facilities, extended breakfast opening time when crowded.

Staff from reception, restaurant to pool area were all friendly and helpful. Room was clean and tidy and easily accessible to all amenities. Buffet breakfast was a great way to start the morning. Water park and activities for kids - spot on.

The pillows were a little uncomfortable for my liking. I prefer a softer lower pillow. More of an annoyance for me was large families / groups reserving 10+ sun beds with towels by the pool and not being in the area or only using half of what they have reserved.

The villa was very well-equipped and spacious. Kids activities were plentiful and it was easy to use the facilities, e.g. requesting services online

Some parts were a little rundown
