The staff member Michael D was so good, friendly, helpful and a lovely person. The room and bathroom cleanliness was amazing. The room had everything you needed. I would stay again…

For what the rooms were worth you definitely get bang for your buck and the beds weee extremely comfortable. The gentleman that was the grounds man or whatever was absolutely lovely and made sure we had everything we needed and was lovely to have a chat to. Would stay again

Convenient location.

Run down a bit, unusable WiFi, and we had a neighbor who screamed all night long and fighting with her partner. (Literally from midnight to 8 am). Because there was no host at the property we could do nothing about it. The host was a bit pestering about when we’d arrive. We not only texted that info numerous times, but the host actually called us 30 minutes or so before the time to ask us yet again when we’d arrive. (Btw: arrival time was not late or early but between 5:30 and 6 pm). We rarely leave bad reviews, but we had a bad stay and folk should beware.

The location is great - in the middle of Cessnock and close to wineries.

1. The whole experience seemed disorganised. I called 2 days before the booking to confirm for early check in at 1pm, which was agreed by the owner. We turned up at about 2pm (usual check in time) and were told that the room wasn't ready and asked if we could come back. We were given a different room after I said no, which was fine, but it wasn't a smooth start to the stay.2. The room was tired and dated, had a smell that indicated the tiredness. It was significantly different to some of the images that we saw online which had fresh paint and brighter interior.3. We didn't have an iron or ironing board in the room, and had to retrieve it ourselves from a different room after requesting it.4. There was no hair dryer.5. The bathroom light was a haphazardly-hung temporary light plugged into the powerpoint.

The shower pressure wasn’t great but could be due to renovations at the property.

Didnt like the look of brick inside bedroom. Felt like I was sleeping in a garage. But that is the building iwner’s issue. Hotel Management was great.

Great spot for an overnight stay.Super easy out of hours check in.Friendly staff.Loads of parking with easy access.Easy to find.Really comfortable bed.Clean.Would be nice to have a set of cutlery and bowls and plates and a hairdryer.Some TV channels didn’t work.Definitely nothing vintage which was disappointing, needs major updates!All in all, a good place for a cheap overnight stay.

The only negative would be that the glass panel at the top of the door let the outside light shine through from the balcony during the night. I’m sure this will be rectified with the upcoming renovations.

Very noisy air con. Door to adjoining room allowed every sound to travel. Old and run down bathroom. TV was account only and NO free tv. Room smelt stale and old.

It has a nice retro vintage feel, which I liked. The room was spacious and comfy, with fresh linens and updated art and accessories.

The bathroom was a bit outdated, but functional. I understand they are in the process of updating the motel, which is very exciting. For the price it was still excellent value.

Did not have breakfast!

There should have been a sign outside with the name Cessnock Vintage Motor Inn. We could not find it and were told they are doing renovatiions so it was removed....We could not access the address at that time I forget why now.

The kitchen had no teaspoon to make coffee. There was no information about Cessnock/Hunter Valley No wifi code

The staff were great - welcoming, informative and helpful. The bed was great - some motel beds are like a marble slab - this one was firm but very comfortable. The shower was excellent.

Poor night sleep due to air-conditioning drumming in room. Noise from joining rooms TV.

King size bed which was so comfortable.

The curtains don’t meet properly and let in so much light.
