Beautiful hotel. Lovely rooms and shared hotel areas.

Bar was closed when we returned from concert. Breakfast wasn’t cheap and was confusing to order eggs and coffee. Proper coffee not included in cost of breakfast.

The room we had was very comfortable and looked nice, they even provided a dog bed and food/water bowls for our Cavalier. All the staff were super friendly and welcoming. High Tea was amazing. It was lovely to walk the grounds and see the lovely rose garden etc

They are no longer pet friendly so we won't be coming back with our dog, it's a real shame that others have ruined it for us as our dog was well behaved and everyone loved him.

    Beautiful rooms and garden

Noise at 7 for maintenance woke one person up in the morning after a wedding and a late night. Annoying

the room was nice. well set out. the staff were exceptional

we ordered room service the first nights stay and everything we ordered was stone cold on arrival.the bed and pillow were uncomfortable the water pressure in the shower need attending as well as the temperature - it took a fair bit of adjusting to get right as the temperature went from cold to boiling hot - was hard to get in-betweenour second night stay we had no internet on the TV so we were unable to watch anything.

Due to water damage at the property, we were offered a downgrade to the Rydges Hunter Valley just an hour and a half before our check-in time, leaving us with no choice but to accept the accommodation. We had booked our stay back in May for a July visit. While we understand that emergencies happen, I don’t believe it’s fair to be charged the same rate for what was ultimately an average room under the circumstances. I can now confirm that Kirkton House did adjust our rate and we look forward to returning for a visit in the near future. Thank you Mon and the professional staff. at Kirkton House.

At Rydges, only one of us was allowed breakfast, and the second guest was asked to pay. One of us ended up skipping breakfast entirely, as we didn’t have the energy to dispute the additional charge. This followed an already disappointing experience in a low-budget room (Room 740) that had a door which didn’t lock and a strong smell of fresh paint and possible lead fumes.

Gorgeous decor, spacious room (we had a one bedroom king), comfy bed (very soft), bathroom has all amenities. It was close to great wineries, easy parking, staff were lovely and accommodating to any requests, food onsite was varied and tasty- we did breakfast and dinner at the hotel for 2 days. Gave us a great room for the baby- at the end so if she cried it didn’t disturb peopleAlso- lots of animals and kangaroos nearby you could walk and see

If I didn’t have a baby I’d say nothing. The baby cot didn’t have a mattress so we had to fold blankets for it. And the main door to the room was very squeaky if the baby was sleeping. But the floorboards were quiet. The living room had glass panels so the porch light couldn’t be blocked out overnight.

Property is beautiful and well situated in the wine country. we saw kangaroos in a grove near the property-A Plus. Rooms were spacious and clean and comfortable. Breakfast was top notch with so many choices-from fruit and yogurt to egg dishes to order. Plenty of delicious pastries as well.

It was for our 25th wedding anniversary and it didn't disappoint. It was absolutely fantastic. The pool and spa were nice to relax in and it had a well equipped gym room. We had a beautiful meal in the Epoche bar, and the following morning we had the buffet breakfast. It was lovely . The staff were friendly and very helpful. Will definitely stay again.thank you.

Bathroom small and difficult to move in. Pillows flat and uncomfortable

Location and the view of the property

Firstly being an IHG rewards member the way I was treated here compared to other IHG properties.. it waa very poor. I booked for our wedding anniversary.. we got a bottle of wine inspite of multiple reminders and with a "happy birthday" note which was very annoying!! I haven't seen this treatment in any other IHG properties I stayed. Secondly the quilt provided in a double bed waa 2 single bed quilt wrapped between sheets, which was super uncomfortable at night kept falling out of the bedsheets leaving a gap in between, never seen this as well in any other property !! Worst thing waa that nothing was done or they did not try to compensate inspite of complaining at the reception. Toilet rolls were not refilled inspite of reminders .. No drinking water facility near the room and bottles were not provided as part of the stay which was ridiculous!! Worth spending money somewhere else than here!!

The grounds were beautiful and the reception team were amazing. The room was spacious. The pool was lovely and heated.

There is no divide between the balconies for each room which made it feel unsafe to leave the curtains open to enjoy the view as a solo traveller during the day. Further there was only a flimsy lock on the sliding door instead of a stronger deadbolt. The cleanliness was not up to standard with the bath full of dirt and the room was very obviously poorly made up on the second day. The next point is not the property owners fault at all but just a heads up to future travellers all of the facilities are in seperate buildings without covered paths between which means if you have unfortunate wet weather you will get soaking wet trying to get between your room and other locations on the property.

The staff were friendly and the rose garden was beautiful.

The rooms are run down. The beds are incredibly uncomfortable. Horrible flat pillows. Doona and sheets are lumpy and get tangled. Bathrooms are old and smelt like sewage. Water pressure lacking. Wifi was bad so watching a movie there was heaps of buffering. Could hear the baby crying at night next door. Floors are creaky. Every light bulb was a different colour and brightness.

The view, the atmosphere and the super nice staff.
