We love the Dorsal for its location and view

A mini bar is provided but has no sparkling water or orange juice. Only instant coffee.

Everything was perfect from the amazing view of the beach to a wonderful Executive suite. The restaurant downstairs was so convenient and Marcus ( I think he was the Restaurant Manager ) was simply outstanding. The fact that we only had to wlk across the road to the pool was awesome. 100% Recommended.

The view was amazing and the bed was really comfortable. Shower pressure was good

The Dorsal is across the road from the beach so rooms have ocean views. Shops and restaurants are a short walk away. There is underground parking with a lift

Small basin in the bathroom with very limited space to put toiletries, makeup etc

Perfect stay, all the ladies at reception were lovely, the room was perfect with the best view in Forster. Clean, comfy and would happily stay there again on my next visit.

Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for renovations, some warning would have been appreciated

Bathroom bench space too small; balcony furniture needed a dining height table from which to eat .

We were really disappointed with the quality of the amenities. The body cleanser was very low quality and had a cheap smell. The toilet paper was thin. There was no moisturiser and only a tiny bar of soap. For a hotel costing $300 a night this was very disappointing. The towels were very thin and small. Just poor quality amenities. We were also amazed to be told at check in that despite there being two beds, we could only sleep in one bed otherwise there was an additional $50 charge per night! We are two elderly women and both of us have various aches and pains. We would have preferred a bed each but didn’t dare!The cleaning was pretty hit and miss - there were bits of paper on the floor and despite it being “cleaned” each day the floor still had scraps of paper. Not really good enough I’m sorry.

View fantastic and location great.Lovely Italian restaurant down stairs and a quick walk to town.Room was big but very basic. A/C worked well but loude.

It was dirty. First thing when we arrived there was sand on the chair. The outside veranda was dirty and glass needs a clean. Inside the skirting needs cleaning. TV put on crooked.The whole room and bathroom needs TLC for the price you pay it's the little things you notice.

Location

We thought the hotel was dated and were not aware that we had been allocated a room with not much of a view. The bathroom was a disabled bathroom and the shower only had a curtain. After using the shower the floor of the bathroom was wet quite a distance out from the shower and quite slippery and dangerous.

View & location was excellent, as advertisedRoom was a good size

There was no toaster in the room for breakfast, only a kettle.For housekeeping, only the bed was made & towels changed.Bathroom wasn't overly clean when we checked inChairs and bed not very comfortable.

Great position - beautiful view over the beach from the balcony. Rooms neat and tidy.

The older lady on the front desk did not like to smile. She needs to remember that people like to see a smiling face when they enter and leave the premises. A little bit of cheer goes a long way.She was also not very flexible with requests.

Great location right opposite beach & close to town centre. Good WiFi. Foxtel movies available free
