Golden Sands Motor Inn

Location...very central. A short walk to everything. Fishing, Swimming, Eating... "Old Style" JEWEL accommodation at a great price. Premium Queen room very spacious.

It met our expectations.

Golden Sands is in a great location and quiet. Clean given the age of the facility.

The picture above does not resemble the room we had. The bathrooms are probably original.

The location was brilliant. The staff were so lovely. Sheets were clean.

Beware this is a VERY dated property. You get what you pay for I guess because it was cheap. The room was not like the photos. The bathroom was so old and the toilet was pretty stained. The furniture was pretty worn.

We had a premium double room which was spacious and ideal for staying several nights, with a table, several chairs, separate desk and two easy chairs. It was advertised as having kitchen facilities but when we arrived there were no plates, cutlery or toaster. The very friendly man at reception provided us with these and so we were able to prepare our own breakfast. We provided our own tea towel and sharp cutting knife.

The fridge really needed to be defrosted.

Close to surf, shops & food.

Convenient to downtown and beach

No lift…that we could find…not a deal breaker…

The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The room was large ...Had to laugh at the tiny lounge ,but that was ok as we only needed the room to sleep...Close to the shops and beach.Plenty of parking..

While a little dated in areas the room was spacious and had good 'extras'. eg. tea towel, detergent, wash cloths which you don't often get anymore.

The balcony was not too clean and we did not want to sit out there.

Very clean, Lots of space, everything you could want: toaster, jug, microwave, comfy bed. Very close to shops, restaurants and a 5 min walk to the beach/coast. Friendly staff, excellent value.

The water pressure in that shower was amazing. So many motels you just get dripped on.Very good value for money. Convenient location less than 100m from great restaurants.

Couldn't escape the road noise. Not a problem for me. But I can see it bothering lighter sleepers.

The Room was modern, good location

The toilet was overused and looked old and needs replacement. The bathroom has no windows for circulation. The shower was very dirty. The floor of the shower the tiles was very black and dirty . Like was been used 100 times needs to be replaced . I didn't have a shower because of the black .The outdoor seating area is outdated needs to be modernized.The outdoor pool looked neglected. The pool linings blue colour but was going black.uninvitting.Was my first time at Godlen Sands motor in and my last time.

Well presented room for the value.

Dated Bathroom and torn sheer curtain.

The location was great and was a walk to everything in town. The staff fabulous and even accommodated a very late check out as it was not busy the next day. Really made the time stay worthwhile and we would come back for sure.

Bed was may a bit old and very soft, but was okay enough for a couple of nights.

Ros was amazing for accommodating me at the last minute, and really friendly. She also gave me some great tips on nearby restaurants open on Sunday evening, as well as early morning cafes. I felt really welcomed and very much appreciated Ros' hospitality!The room was very spacious and comfortable. My room had a 4 seat dining table and small lounge. There was a microwave, small kitchenette, toaster, and cutlery etc. This would have been perfect for a multi-night stay. My car was parked right out front and I felt safe.It was a 4 minute walk across the road via pedestrian lights to Forster Main Beach. This was great for a quick coffee at 6am before leaving.

There was no soap in the bathroom to wash my hands, and the body wash was empty in the shower. As I was travelling through and only staying one night, I had my own and it didn't bother me so much. The shower could do with a deep clean. Otherwise, no complaints and will stay again for sure if passing overnight through the area!

Location was great, walking distance to beach and main drag. Room was amazing for extended stay. Smart tv to log into apps. Management was great.

Loved it all. Will definitely stay again when visiting

Hard to sleep with the lights on all night!

There is a light outside the room that is on all night and the curtains don’t block the light so it is like daylight in the room all night!

Location was very good Air con worked well

Light switch in bathroom broken and dangerous..Bed head had a stain that I can’t explain..Tv was hard to operate and couldn’t get normal tv .. the soap and shampoo was some of the worst I’ve used really cheap.. another car parked in my spot designated for my car .. Just a lot of small things they could really work on..
