Pros +
- Innovation, changing the mill into a hotel
- Great food, very accommodating staff and what an amazing building and restoration.
- The Dome breakfast was great and convenient very friendly staff.
Cons -
- It's a pity Katanning hasn't more to offer the tourist.
- Room was noisy Party of people in Foyer Noise travelled up through open stairwell There was no sound insulation in bathroom wall View out window of chicken treat and Woolworths Pillows very uncomfortable Controls for air-conditioning? Couldn't find
- Room are modern but extreme minimalist. TV had a volume lock on it and was hard to hear. Rooms are small for the above average cost of stay. The cocktail bar basement has minimalist seating and could be much more comfortable and cosy. It felt cold and somewhat unwelcoming with so many hard surfaces and lack of comfort.

Great food, very accommodating staff and what an amazing building and restoration.
The Dome breakfast was great and convenient very friendly staff.
Loved the decor and the workings of the mill. Sampled the Cordial Bar and Dome Cafe which were both excellent, food-wise and staff-wise. The room was very comfortable and quiet.

Lovely bed and linen. The idea of the cocktail bar basement is good. Lovely decor in the lobby and throughout the property.

Wonderful features.
Pillows could be firmer. Toilet paper substandard. Could use a bench or stool in the bathroom.
The Flour Mill Hotel is a great experience to stay in comfort in a country town. We stopped at this hotel so we had shorter drive back to Perth. The Dome Restaurant was very good and there were after 5pm meals that were very nice. The Cordial Bar is underneath the hotel and a great place to have a cocktail or wine. We loved the guest services of coffee making facilities and a microwave.
Maybe some tapas in the Cordial Bar.
This was our 4th stay at Premier Mill. Facilities are Great, Hotel reception was great, Bar was great.
The rooms are great but, Rm203 was the smallest room we have stayed in. We were a bit shocked.
The restoration of the building is gorgeous!!!The rooms are modern and stylish. The Cordial Bar in the Basement is beautiful with a great food and drinks menu. This place is a must stay Hotel a stunning nod to the past.
Very interesting conversion. The machinery was great. We enjoyed the tapas bar and the atmosphere and setting.
Thoughtful architectural conversion of the old mill. Quality toiletries (Aesop)... but I'd expect no less at those prices! The bathroom was well-designed. Innovative touch light controls. For comparison, there are 4 star hotels in Sydney charging half this rate. Scarcity might be a factor. They seem to have a monopoly on accommodation in this town.
This room cost twice as much as any of our other accommodations, but I don't think it was justified. I was surprised that the exceedingly high tariff didn't include complimentary breakfast. I think bathrobes would have been a nice touch, too. Our room wasn't large by any means. A fridge in our room would have been preferable to the tiny one in the shared valet area.
Comfortable bed. Nice decor and ambience. Well presented. Staff were all nice. Supervisor (Leanne?) was exceptionally friendly and helpful. TV coverage was good.
Perth city price for a one night stay in the country!Noisy tiny room fridge with water… but no kettle/tea/coffee in the room. Available in a service area in the hall, but not convenient first thing in the morning. Room carpet frayed and needs attention.
Amazing conversion of old mill building. Very comfortable, spacious room and very quiet. We ate at the Dome for dinner and it was good, likewise coffee was great in the morning. The staff at Reception and at Dome were very efficient and friendly.
Beautiful historic building, full of character. Had a great evening meal and breakfast the next morning in the attached Dome which is part of the hotel and reflects the historical elements of the building. Loved the movie selection on the TV.
Paid extra for the balcony however it did not provide a view from the room or the balcony. It was a solid almost 6 ft cement block on all 3 sides. Very disappointed, don’t waste your money.
The rooms are great, its a lovely complex and fitted it out really nicely.
TV - i had an issue with my TV not sure if it is hotel wide or just unlucky, my movie stopped half way through and i couldnt lower the volume so unable to watch TV late in fear of making too much noise for neighbouring guests.Wardrobe space - would be nice to have even one small cupboard to place items out of sight- there is certainly room for it
Available room when we cant find any accommodation in Albany.Staff are nice and looked after usCleaners tried to look for me because i have left my watch in the room. Nice, honest people
Hard bedIts in a town where theres nothing much in it.
The hotel is absolutely stunning, the rooms are amazing, love the whole vibe, mood lighting. Could not fault the hotel at all. The staff member ( sorry I have forgotten his name) who checked us in was really lovely and professional, gave us some info on the hotel and rooms
I think it warrants a lovely restaurant not just a cafe. I like the Dome cafe although the food wasn’t as good as normal in this one. The hotel is that nice it should have a nice restaurant. I did like the little nook for the coffee / tea etc however, I do think they should have these facilities in the bed, you should have to get fully dressed to get a coffee on a morning. The room also lacked robes. When your chilling in the room or just got out of the shower you want to put a robe on. I absolutely loved our room however, it is above the Dome cafe and you could hear the music / staff downstairs early morning while your trying to sleep. I thought the rooms were soundproof, this was a little annoying
No breakfast provided in the cost.
There were no facilities in the room. The fridge was minuscule. No hair-dryer, no tea or coffee making facilities in the room...no spare blankets or pillows in the room. If you wanted ir m needed anything you needed to be dressed to go to the community mini kitchen. For the price we thought it was very poor. Caravan parks have better facilities.
Comfortable Felt safe as a solo female traveler Clean Bathroom was stunning
No fridge or tea and coffee in the room
