The Village Resort

Room/apartment was very comfortable. It was great to have a washer and dryer and dishwasher. The bed was very comfy. Towels and sheets were of very good quality. The barbecue area was very nice to have. Resort location was close to the lake and an easy walk to town center.

A good standard motel to stay for a couple of days. Location is good and in walking distance to the shopping area and restaurants.

This property far exceeded our expectations. Our 2 bedroom apartment was huge spanning 2 levels and with amazing views of the Lake. It was exceptionally clean and tidy with a great kitchen and living room (and a very comfortable lounge). We loved our stay here and would definitely book anytime we come back to Taupo.

We loved the upgraded room that the manager arranged for us.Beautiful lake views and a great location for lakeside walks.Overall, this accommodation was excellent!

The location was perfect and the unit/room was perfect for our family. The kids loved the pool and was so handy being right opposite the lake. There was a very loud group there late at night with music and language and the staff went out and told them to stop and pack it down so good to see that they keep the standard of respecting all people staying at the accommodation as a lot of places don’t care and wouldn’t bother getting up after midnight to shut it down.

Location was ok.

Man at desk was rude ob arrival and told us off for accidentally pressing arrival button twice. We paid over $300.00 for our room to realize we may as well be sleeping in a basement. We were given an uncomfortable room, that was dark and felt like a converted garage. It was not a 300 dollar stay to say the very least. After the initial disappointment in the room and facilities we though we would watch TV in the tiny living space. (Which had lights not opperating) and the tb was so far up the wall we could barely watch it. Then only to realize there was no internet or smart TV. No Netflix, neon or anything

- Let down by the little things. No bathmat. Shampoo and body wash bottles both broken. No hand soap in unit. Sticky residue in kitchen cupboards, not super clean. - No aircon/fan in bedroom.- A bit tired. Pillows uncomfortable.Two nights cost us $825 so this was disappointing and we probably wouldn’t return.

A little outdated but comfortable, clean and very spacious, the staff were very helpful and welcoming , fabulous location.

No aircon or fan in the bedroom.

Close to the lake and great heated pool if the lake was too cold. Liked our room, we had plenty of space and a great view.

Very accommodating and helpful with arriving later than normal check in times. Room was bigger than we expected and had a washing machine and dryer which was handy with traveling with 2 young kids. Beds were comfortable and the rooms were quiet.

The location is fantastic, the staff are efficient and friendly, and they go the extra mile! We left some clothes in a wardrobe, and they got in touch with us before we even left town. The fresh milk, ice in the freezer, bathrobes, pool towels and fluffy slippers were also much appreciated! We were a mix of teenagers and adults, and the generous layout and number of bathrooms in our unit were perfect. Bonus was the Murphy bed in the living room, and the big screen TV - a big hit with the 14 year old. Pool and spa are great, and we enjoyed the tennis court too. My favourite thing was the view of the lake from the terrace by the spa - stunning.

The bed in the main bedroom was very firm - too hard for me - but that's just a preference thing. It would be great if there were a lamp in the living room. The little terrace at the back of the main bedroom needs a little more love, but the view from the living room more than made up for it.

Great location, friendly owners and huge units. We had 2 bedrooms with 3 toilets and 2 showers. It was also very well stocked.
