Huka Falls Resort

Good location for us. Quiet resort. Easy access to Taupo

Poor finishing and attention to detail on some things ie light fitting in bathroom changed but old fitting left as a hole in the ceiling. Shower head and hose was leaking. No outside furniture for the deck. TV in the wrong place to watch from bed.

Very Quiet. No contact check in and out.

Not a place that’s easy to find. No easy visible road signage. The property was drab - needs gardens or better facilities??? Definitely not a resort - more like a living village..

Lovely character cottage. Very comfortable bed.

Hardly anything to like

The whole complex was in a terrible state of disrepair. Peeling paint on exterior and poorly mended fittings on the interior. The shower leaked, the basin was cracked and the step to the veranda dodgy.

Both Mum and I had fabulous sleep on our visit - beds very comfortable. A lovely quiet and pretty place to stay. Just a little way out of town so need a car to get out for dinner etc but distance made up by the cuteness of the villas.

The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and surrounded by lovely verandahs and gardens. The setting allowed privacy and comfort with undercover parking in some villas. The resort is close to the beautiful Huka Falls and river, just a couple of minutes drive from town.

Where two apartments join together within the villa, the wall is not sound proofed, but it was still better than many other motels.

tv only had 3 channels & being an older tv we couldn’t stream our phns through it. couches were hard & there was hardly any water pressure in shower.

We liked all from the location, spacious bedroom, lounge and surroundings of the villa.

Bathroom fittings could be refreshed and if the WiFi could stretch to the lodges that would be great, but generally really enjoyed staying here

Location and the bed was comfy

The TV didn't work properly in the room. The shower only had hot water coming out. The tap in the sink was broken.

The staff were amazing! Super friendly

The villa had a strange smell to it, the bathroom was leaking from the roof, and the shower had not been cleaned properly. It is also advertised that there is wifi however, there was no connection in the villa.

The staff were approachable when they were there. Always seemed to be out of the office.

Our kitchen roof was leaking, bathroom shower upstairs was flooding and was filthy.

Felt like a safe and secure part of town. Not too far from where we wanted to be.

The pillows were ordinary and the couches uncomfortable, which unfortunately for us were used more than we wanted due to very wet weather.

The room was farily big, we liked the location - very calm and safe. We wish we had planned more than one night there.

Only minor but there are long term residents on site which is not communicated or public knowledge, the other mi or thing is there is no internet which in this day and age is a rarity particularly for public accomodation facilities.

Good amount of room to n a cute little cottage. In a quiet area, not far from the town Center and Huka Falls

The door was a little hard to open and close due to wear and tear and you could hear the guests in the adjoining room moving about because of squeaking floors. All minor things that didn’t bother me or affect my stay

NO INTERNET!!! Missed that when we booked but why on earth don’t they have internet. You can be too mean cutting costs! Pool water had a green tinge to it. Not inviting.
