We travel about 9 months a year so stay in miriads of accommodations. This is not a bad place but is absolutely not a 4 star by any stretch of the imagination-- better as a two star so would meet expectations. It also smelled very stale when we entered.

The staff were very lovely, pleasant and helpful. We had a really good meal in their dining room.

The room we had could use some updating. The decor really needed to be updated. The rug was not so clean as was the upholstery on the chairs. The bed was ok but no headboard. Outside, there was fences needing replacement, they were falling over.

A beautiful big bed, very warm & we were super fortunate to wake up to a beautiful clear blue day on Sunday.

No fuss check in, room & facilities basic, but very clean & everything we needed for a comfortable night. Plenty of hot water and a great shower.

Shower curtain prefer a screen.

Customer service 15/10! Very kind, friendly & attentive staff. Was warmly greeted the second we walked into the front door. Room was very clean and very tidy, bed was super comfy and the view from the balcony was stunning with the full moon and the sunrise.

Small downside was the water from the shower ran almost the door and toilet, not a major issue just a little slippery for the kid. Otherwise, everything else was Great!

The bathroom shower head won’t stay up and the water from the shower went all over the floor. This made it very slippery during the night going to the toilet

As the balcony is shared, some net curtains would be good for privacy without losing the view and natural light.

Unable to close windows in kitchen and bathroom so room had several bugs and no fly spray Bed was lumpy and could feel mattress springs

The room has been refurbished with a beautiful finish. I found the slope in the room a bit unnerving at times, especially when getting out of bed, my partner not so much.The bathroom is an excellent size. It was unfortunate that the shower floor didn't allow adequate drainage, causing a large, migrating pool of water to collect. I think the drain probably wasn't big enough and/or in a good location. Overall, I was happy with our stay. The room would suit anyone who is wheelchair bound or requires extra space to maneuver.

The meal we had in house wasn’t up to standard. The pork chops were dry and even a steak knife didn’t make it easy to cut.

Bed was comfy. Restaurant food was very good. Staff friendly. Good value!

Spot,less rooms. Plenty of towels. A bonus was the sandwiches and cake and apple in the fridge. Staff were very friendly. The views were beautiful. Shame the restaurant balcony wasn't on the sunny side. The centre if town has only one bar so the fact that the hotel was a bit of a walk we found the bar there quite acceptable

Internet a. It hit and miss but that's OK.

We are staying with them again for a longer period. Helpful and very accommodating. JPL appreciate

Never saw a person . No food available despite advertising breakfast and a restaurant. Stairs.

Lovely and clean and friendly staff.Good home cooked meal at restaurant good size portions hubby very happy.

The Scotch steak dinner was delicious, with a glass of NZ Pinot.

Needs railings. Difficult to do stairs.
