Clarence Boutique Hotel

Staff and facilities were awesome. Asked for help with lots of random stuff and my requests were met with a smile. Restaurant service was brilliant and everyone knows their meals across the menu. Rooms were quiet beds were very comfy. So yes 5⭐️ from us.

The location is very close to CBD Tauranga and near waterfront attractions.

Spacious. Clean. Creative decor. Comfortable large bed. Good sound proofing. Good location. The hotel has very good restaurant.

Very slow draining wash basin. No lift, had to carry luggages up and down the stairs.

We had a wonderful stay at Clarence Boutique. We loved the design-led style, and the beds were super comfortable. The staff were lovely too. We would definitely stay again.

Some people might prefer to stay in the hustle and bustle of The Mount, but we didn’t mind the 10-minute drive over the bridge to the beach and the better food options. But we liked how quiet it was at The Clarence, it meant we got a better sleep.Oh and the bathroom door was a sliding door-style, which even with dark frosted glass wasn’t totally private. But as I say, even despite this we would stay again!

We've stayed twice at the Clarence now, and will definitely be back. It's a lovely hotel, charming, well designed, and with great sized rooms. The restaurant/bar is a lovely place to kick back with a book or meet with friends.

Cafe wasn't open for breakfast on weekends, but there are plenty of options that are walkable, or a short drive away.

I don't like rain shower heads, and the alternate shower head was one of the narrow kind - which unfortunately sent water everywhere due the the amazing pressure.

The room was nicely decorated and put together, the lighting was great and the bathroom was lovely. The bed was comfortable and the noise that people usually complain about is quite muffled so we had no issues.

The TV was slightly blocked by a pole, the snacks and drinks in the room were not free - something that was not disclosed. The bathroom toilet made me feel like I was going to fall in.

Rooms very stylish and comfortable, a great stay. The bar and restaurant are very attractive and the cocktails great.

Unfortunately our bed was a bit uneven so we didn't get the best of sleeps.

Sliding door to bathroom didn't close fully, affecting privacy. Bathroom partion of glass, so lit up bedroom if using bathroom at night. Only tea and coffee making facilities

The location to cargo shed was ideal. The decor, the bed, the shower/bathroom were all spotless on.

They need to offer breakfast on the weekend!!

The pasta course in the Chef’s menu was too heavy immediately before the main. I’d prefer that it be omitted, with a larger serving of both of the raw dishes.
