Pros +
- We especially liked the large size of the room and the location right on the golf course. It was also very handy to the Country club which served awesome meals for very reasonable prices. The room inside was also very clean and a very comfortable bed.
- Loved the room aesthetic. Very spacious overall and the slider door from the bedroom opened to a porch and a green lawn. Bathroom was very nice!
- Construction work
Cons -
- The windows and frames were quite dirty and the balconies had a lot of spider webs. The balconies were also quite dirty from debris from the trees.
- I could hear the springs in the bed when moving / rolling around. Wasn't very comfortable but OK for a night's sleep. 500ml Water bottles were chargeable at $4.50 each from the minibar / fridge. Would have been nice to have a jug of water as an alternative.
- There was loud construction work going on right outside the door stretching over the whole of the club. This mend, being woken up by construction noise and not being able to relax at the pool, because of the heavy machinery operating right next to it.

The proximity of accommodation to the club house, easy stroll for breakfast and tea and good food provided
Location was convenient to Lavington
We arrived to find construction and barricades all around the Thurgoona Country Club ... we had to walk on the road to gain access to the club for dinner. We booked the Deluxe double and unlike the renovated pictures we received we got an old hotel room in need of update No: 17 filled with musky smokey smells and original decor dating back to the 70s , brick walls and brown curtains with dark carpet. Dark and uninviting we had to air out by opening front and back door for sometime. No security, people walking past our back door looking in (not golfers) but local residents walking their dog. We had made previous arrangements for friends to catch up with a dinner and a drink at the Thurgoona Country Club and were embarrassed by the state of the club and found the meals also disappointing leaving most still on the plate.
Nice quiet room
We waited at the club bit for nearly 20 mins waiting for someone who could give us a room key. When we got to the hotel part, we couldn't find out room and had to walk up and down as there's no map
Not Much
I received an email telling me that the country club was carrying out renovations and that the pool was not available. Thinking that's not so bad. When we were allocated 3 rooms, they were right next to the construction site. We had a construction barrier at the door to the room. we woke to the sound of drills or grinders at 8.00 am. The accommodation block had more than ample rooms available. considering I booked these rooms some 8 months prior. Very disappointed and will never use this accommodation again
Location suited me as I had a conference at nearby Charles Sturt University.
My scotch fillet at the restaurant was tough.
Convenient to get to. Friendly staff.
The limited amount of gluten free food on the menu. Also, the bed caved a bit towards the middle.
Room was large and clean, and updated bathroom and new carpet a pleasant change from other motels in the area
The location. The restaurant so close to the resort. The view of the Golf club. Aircon really cool down the room. Bed was comfortable.
When I booked, they did not told me the resort was under construction, only the day before I arrived, I got an email…. Too late for me to look for new accommodation. It was 38C* and I booked this accommodation for the pool. Furniture is outdated. No proper or comfortable place to sit and catch up with work where I could charge my laptop, as the electricity point is not compatible for a larger device. Only the kitchen space was compatible.
Very pretty grounds of a golf and country club with tennis as well. The hotel room was huge w four beds. There was a club for food. That too was huge with full roast meals. The price was very good...and they had tennis rackets for us to use at the courts as well.
Very good
We like TCC but renos meant building site and no pool. We were advised of this only after booking which was unfortunate as it was mid summer.
We only stayed here for one night as a stop over between Melbourne and a seaside resort on the NSW coastline. The family room was spacious and had a lovely view overlooking the golf course. The resort has a large family friendly restaurant.
We booked this property with the view that we'll be able to prepare dinner ourselves as it was listed as having a kitchenette. Maybe our definition of kitchenette differs but we expected some form of cooking / food prep appliances and there was only a counter with a kettle and a small sink. Luckily we stayed only for one night and made use of the in-house restaurant, but had we stayed longer this would have been a major problem for us.
Spacious room with access to the garden outside. Good bed and clean bathroom.
I made this reservation on behalf of my mother-in-law who visited with family in the area and stayed here for 5 nights. We joined her on her last night. The fact that the kitchenette that was listed as something that the accommodation offered was nothing more than a kettle and a toaster was very inconvenient. There wasn't any way of preparing yourself a meal, which is what one wants if your search criteria is only "self catering". We won't stay here again.
The location is good. The pool was under construction or renovation so we missed it. The staff was friendly and helpful.
There's no microwave and cutlery.
Excellent location with a Bar & Bistro and free tennis courts with some loan rackets too. The room is spacious with a rear balcony overseeing the golf area.
Maybe the staff overlooked, our room didn't have an iron box, microwave or cutlery. We have informed the cleaners when checking out so the next guests don't have the issue.
Overall we were very happy with our stay. Unfortunately the pool and other motel facilities were being renovated so our group didn’t really have a place to socialise. The rooms were very clean and spacious but could’ve done with a microwave. All of the staff were very friendly. We ate twice at the restaurant, breakfast and dinner and all of our group enjoyed their meals and found it good value for money. I would stay again once reservations are complete.
Not sure if it was just our room but there was no internal security lock on the door.
Beautiful setting along the golf course, very spacious room, with parking right outside.
More cutlery woul dhave been nice, but only a minor inconvenience.
this property was under construction and renovation
was not informed about the workman on site.
