Astor Hotel Motel

Good location , plenty of parking for a car trailer.

The air con took ages to kick in, the room had a strong chlorine smell when we arrived.

I liked the location, the rooms were comfortable the staff were friendly and accommodating and the pub had excellent meals.

It was a bit difficult to find the main bar for check in, a bit clearer signage could be helpful.

Rooms x 4 were not so close together

Funky 50’s aesthetic

Rooms were bland and very tight. It’s a shame the 50’s aesthetic hadn’t been applied to the interior. Quite noisy, and no option for fresh air

Bad

My daughter and her best friend were very badly biten by bed bugs!!! The bites were so bad and swollen and very itchy.

Well bathroom needed updating but price was good and hand basin in bathroom would b good even small oneBar in hotel was good

Presentation was great, loved the retro styling. The pub onsite is really nice. Bright and airy, good beers and food. Staff were really helpful and friendly.Room had modern split AC, easy to use and keep room comfortable on a hot day.

No wash basin in the bathroom, so used the 'kitchen' sink in the room.Extractor fan didn't work, but window opened so no big deal.

The hotel, does good pub food. It was great to arrive after a long drive and not have to go out to find dinner.

I have trouble with ankles and hence trouble with stairs. I was up a floor and there is no lift. It seems I should have told the hotel of my problem and they would have given me a room at ground level but on arrival it was too late. Nonetheless, I managed and enjoyed my stay.

Convenient location and restaurant attached was a win.

Noisey industrial vents/motors opposite on roof of main building humming all night.

The bed was very comfortable, the shower water pressure and temperature was great, the air conditioner adequate and lady on reception very warm and friendly.

Conveniently located, bistro right there and comfortable room.

A bit noisy near the road and some of the plants overgrowing walkways and doorways - need a more regular trim in summer.

Good price food was good

The rooms could of done with a little lift The parking wasn’t great

Well located and good room for the money

It had some and Ants and no bin have could find in the room

Great place main Hotel excellent. Rooms need work for the price

Bar food fabulous. The manager was a bit caught up with his own stuff, his service was average but the staff where fabulous

The room & food was great, good pub...

A little bit of noise from traffic, but it was ok.

Price and use of hotel and food

Minor whinge, had to use sink and mirror in bedroom as these were not in the bathroom.

Perfect place to lay your head for the night. Completely unfussed. Old school. Great staff at the bar for check in, and if we'd been earlier, the bar and bistro would have been everything we needed for a meal on a sweltering hot night.

Love the mid century style, and the on site bar and bistro

No issues

Right in the city, pub attached, modern rooms. Surprisingly quiet for a city location

Hmmm nothing really.

It was connected to the pub for easy dinner

Aircon hardly worked It was really noisy through the night Bed was very uncomfortable
