Northside Hotel Albury

Local to friends we were visiting.

Where to begin. We stayed for 2 nights, the first night my partner had to kill 3 cockroaches that were crawling up the walls. At 4pm the next day staff were calling us and knocking on the door saying we had over stayed. I showed the staff member my booking confirmation and payment for 2 nights. He said he had other guests who needed the room, all while on the phone. My partner went down to reception with him, where they found the booking came through for 2 nights, but their team booked us for 1 night and wrote notes stating “two night stay”. We got a piss poor apology for being yelled at and told to leave. Genuinely shocked with the blatant disregard for guests without checking the booking before coming to see us.

Staff were very accommodating & communication was excellent.The room was very comfortable & clean

Very noisy when the bar facilities were closing.

The bar staff was lovely.

The security guard was aggressive and waited outside the women’s toilet to check my ID and when she was told I only needed to use the bathroom her response was I don’t care.Felt really uncomfortable and the experience was not nice. The bathroom light didn’t work and the door was broken.

Broken curtains = no privacy. Cobwebs, dust & stained sheets. Very loud and rough crowd in the area. Burnout hotspot at 2am!Has been many moons between deep clean. Budget accommodation definitely but doesn’t have to mean unkept.

Noise heater , kitchen closed by 10 pm , not food was available after my work.Patrons or staff was parked on the designated room number spot.

Decent location, friendly staff

The place stunk of what smelled like a broken sewage pipe outside, and given the louvre windows could not be sealed the unit smelled terrible the whole time and was also quite cold unless the heater was running. It was quite uncomfortable.

The fact that I showed up 15 mins early to fill out my room paper work But for some reason still couldn’t get my key till 2:25 with a 2 pm check in

As a female staying by myself I did not feel safe at all one push on the door and it would have opened. Did not know they were doing renovations and was unable to park at my door

Clearly the staff are trying to make the best of the very ordinary rooms. Given renovations we’re going on in the property hopefully they tackle the accommodation soon.

Aircon was old and noisy. Poor insulation.

Friendly staff. Room was clean.

About 20 large black grass hoppers that also were in the room and jumped on me in my sleep. Also it was a windy night and there was a door out the back somewhere that was banging all night. Did not get much sleep. Not good value for money overall.

Location was excellent, along with the facilities, and in particular the staff! Room was very clean. All necessary amenities (restaurant, bar... bottle shop across the street) were on hand and right on location. Thank you for accommodating me guys!

Location is fine for where I was doing some work

Called and tried to book direct as I was paying on a company card for an employee amd he wouldn't have the physical card so I wanted to pay up front. Was told couldn't do so book through external agent. On arrival employee was almost not let stay due to him not having physical card. Took 15 minutes back and forth on phone to sort out

Conveniently situated. Parking OK. Reasonably well equipped.

Needs a second bedside table and new curtains. A screen door would be good too!

Friendliness of the staff and value for money meal at the bistro and the nice cold beer that went with it No breakfast was available unless you brought your bread to toast but Maccas was only just up the road.. It was not noisy and accomodation in a separate building to the hotel meant that you could get a good nights sleep

You can’t rely on this property!My pre booked room was let to someone else.No other room there offered.I was forced to drive a further 100k late at night. This is inexcusable.suggest remove from Booking.com list!

Everything was as expected - hot shower, clean room, TV, fridge, easy check in and out.

Noisy people nearby.

Room was very basic and dated. Bed not so comfortable and bathroom could do with an update. Its a no frills hotel that is ok for 1 night.
