Amaroo Motel

They delivered on what they said they would in every regard. Parking was tight in our area of the motel.

The room was modern and very clean. Bathrooms were exceptionally clean. Beds were comfortable and we felt safe and content at this property.

One neighbour a little noisy coming in at night but didn't last long.

Microwave! Notwithstanding rules about cooking in the room I would have loved to see a more simple microwave that required a simple timer to cook with. No manual to decipher the screen meanings. My meal packet said to cook for 4 minutes. How do I do that? Eight times I hit the speed button of 30 seconds each.. Depends on what you are used to I suppose. Otherwise I enjoyed my stay comfortably.

Good location, quiet, friendly staff, comfortable beds. Well managed upgrade after room mix up.

Stayed for 2 nights, very close to the main town, was an easy walk to restaurants and shops

Beds were very comfortable. Great location - walking distance to everything including the Tumut Brewery.

The fact that we had to parallel park right outside our Unit 8. Our vehicle is a Toyota Hilux and quite long this we had to park precariously close to the corner this restricting passage of vehicles attempting to pass to exit the premises. There was another Ford ute two units down from us and our two vehicles took up a lot of space thus preventing any other vehicles that could of been there to park outside of their units.

Staff were very good and helpful, but it wasn’t a 4 star motel. Very small rooms but comfortable.

Parking was bad and for an outdated building the price was too expensive. For the price they could have given the oriental breakfast for free instead of charging.

Bed was very comfortable and the room clean. Bed linen and towels were of good quality.

Room allocated did not reflect a 'four star' premise. Standard of furnishings was below par; it did not reflect what was shown in promotional photos. There was only one bedside table and sub-standard reading light for a room with a queen and single bed. Half the overhead lights worked and the TV stopped functioning. While the amenity compendium said there were Foxtel channels, there were none. Bathroom was dated and the narrow and low bath with overhead shower lacked a grab rail or other safety device. The block out curtain did not fully cover the window.

Clean, spacious, comfortable room. Excellent central location but quiet.

Car parking is very tight when all rooms are occupied.

The room was clean tidy and modern. The room was made up each day for us and although basic had everything that we needed. Its location right in the centre of town allowed us to walk to shops and cafes .

To be fair there is possibly nothing much that could be done about the issues. 1) the room was not quiet, we could hear the conversations and laughter in the adjacent room which went on till midnight which we as early sleepers found disturbing. 2) another night the adjacent room parked in our spot which required us to park several spots down but the owners were unable to have them vacate our parking spot. 3) the drain in the shower smelt awful , thought it was a dry s bend but after many showers the smell remained 4) the pipes in the ceiling hammered/ knocked loud enough to wake us every time when the adjacent room turned on the hot water which was sleep depriving 5) the air conditioning switched off at 2:30am which the owner fixed the next day blaming children for setting timers but it’s not a family room so not sure if that was the issue but it was fixed ?

Long weekend, nobody on reception during entire visit - no milk in the fridge for a cup of tea - and no ability to source milk from their kitchen.

We were caught in a wild storm and the reception staff were vert helpful. They gave us an upgrade to undercover accommodation an were very helpful.,,, just before the hail arrived.

Clean and efficient check-in

The staff were a little 'short' and just polite.. meaning that they werent that friendly.After asking where to eat nearby, the lady said "No idea, Im not from around here"

car parking outside my room was appreciated, but parking near other vehicles and exiting is very narrow
