The staff were easily contactable and personable. the facility was in a quiet location, small and well equipped.

Barbara was so helpful when I checked in. Her puppy dogs gave me a warm greeting and I felt very welcomed and comfortable as she showed me around.

Facilities were clean, stocked with all that we needed. Sitting out front of the verandah watching tge storm go over was a delightful highlight. Kitchen was self contained fully stocked, enough for my family and three other international visitors to cook. My kids and I enjoyed playing board games while it rained.Location was perfect and suited our needs. Barabara and her companions were charming. We enjoyed local walks and looking for kangaroos.

Nothing really, everything was exceptional and met our needs. Building and furniture were old but comfy and clean.

Large common area and well-equipped kitchen.

I was a little concerned that there were only one toilet, shower and bathroom sink for up to ten residents but that wasn't a problem at the time as there were only three of us.

Affordable ok for 1 night

Not enough room / facilities in communal areas (kitchen & lounge) for number of potential guests. Luckily it was not at capacity

An ideal place to stay to stop or use even as a base when exploring the Great Ocean Road. Kangaroos were even seen hopping by from the terrace in the morning. Close to the centrum/beach on foot. Friendly owner, spacious kitchen/common place. Good opportunity to meet up and chat with other travellers.

It's the second time we have stayed at Anglesea Backpackers, and we highly recommend it. The room has space for all, the living room is comfortable with a TV, board games and puzzles, and the location is perfect. We are 5 min driving from the beach and 1h30 from 12 apostles. The ladies are amazing, and they are always ready to help us with anything we need.

The communication was clear and straightforward. The kitchen was well-equipped. The room was secure, with an ensuite bathroom.

I may have misunderstood "backpackers", but for the price I expected a little soap and perhaps a face washer. The room was quite bare. It was a very cold night, and the oil heater wasn't much help.
