Mahogany Motel Warrnambool

The Mahogany might be an older motel - but it's obviously well cared for and it was very clean and comfortable as well as being affordable. The owners are doing a great job.

The room was clean & all amenities worked properly. The shower was good & the supplied soaps, towels & shampoos were fine. The bed itself was very comfortable to sleep in the heating system was excellent.

I requested a ground floor room when I booked as I have a bad knee & stairs are NOT my friend. I receieved a reply after I booked that my request was possible - however, I was notified that I was in Room 14 which was on the second floor. It made moving my bags from the car a slow process.

Clean, easy to get to. Room had basic necessities. While the place was basic, the price was basic as well so all in, not too bad. Room was a bit cold; but perhaps that was because the day was cold. Onsite parking was limited but sufficient.

Room could have provided bedroom slippers

Lingerie smoke smell , dampness in room, even though the room was non smoking . Bathroom had a fluorescent tube light, would take few minutes to illuminate

1. The water taps of both sink and shower required hard tightening otherwise water will drip2. The shower taps were especially troublesome as the water leaked and drip no matter how tight the taps were closed3. TV was not used as there wasn't much going on4. There was virtually no view from the window as a wall of plants obstructed the unit; therefore no natural light for the entire duration of 5 days / 4 nights there. This was unit 1. 5. The weather was cold, wet and windy for the entire duration of my stay making it and indoors only visit in Warrnambool.

We came to do a checking 30 minutes before closing and no one was there. They had 2 numbers listed, I emailed them and messaged them on Booking app but no response. They also didn't send us self check-in instructions via SMS, as stated.

Spacious room, good facilities, just as listed.

Nothing much, it is a budget motel, there could be little bits of this and that you could find. But not worth mentioning.

Small and hardly any natural light

Our room was basic but very clean.

Most reviews we read before booking said that despite being on a busy road the rooms were quiet. I could hear traffic, especially big trucks. It is not the fault of the motel as I think that all motels on Raglan would be similar.

Needed a last minute place to stay in Warrnambool, the lady at the desk was lovely and super helpful. The room had everything we needed for the one night we were there.

Close to all amenities. Bed was super comfortable. Very clean and a very affordable price Water pressure in the shower wasn't great but it did the trick

Average & overpriced for what you get.

Requested ground floor as my partner had a sore knee, not provided, no lifts and lots of stairs to navigate. Driveway is one way single lane and this is also the exit road. Carpark tiny and parks narrow

I accidentally left my AirPods behind, and despite the host having my contact details, I was not informed. A simple message would have been appreciated. This lack of communication was disappointing and impacted my overall experience.”

Used as a transit night. Great Location on the main road through town. Very tired and dated room. Great that it had a kitchenette. Clean and fair value for a one night stopover.
