- Didn't have breakfast. Good location close to city centre. Quiet. Cosy - very efficient oil heater. No table but there was an outside table that I moved inside the room.
- Bed were comfortable.Short walk to the town center
Cons -
- Nothing, all good.
- An indoor table.
- Poor wifi connection, barely working.Staff was not at the reception when we tried to check in, at 3pm. Possibly because it was a public holiday. We had to call the out of hour manager and check in over the phone, which required give out credit card detail s over the phone. Which felt unsafe

Location good for exploring Queenstown.Did not stay for breakfast.Dinner unavailable but recommended restaurant at Empire very nice. Clean and comfortable.
General outside / gardens all looking a bit tired.Remember it being much more tidy on previous visits - albeit many years ago.
Good location and ok WiFi …the staff was wonderful
Not really clean, musty smelling and took 1.5 days to get the room warm with a portable oil heater. This might be a great place during the summer, but not during cold weather months as the heat is turned off. They claim they have breakfast, but nothing for gluten free options.
Room was comfortable and warm. Staff and restaurant were exceptional. Meals are huge and fantastic.
The room was compact for 2 adults but had all the facilities. A recommendation would be to ensure that the reception is available when you check in so you can ask for toaster, plates staright away as they don’t have these facilities available from the start for security reasons.
The door handle in the bathroom didn’t lock and the hot water tap in the basin made a scary belching sound everytime it was turned on.
Convenient location and easy check-in. Helpful staff
Beds were big and comfortable, and the area was quiet.
Old kitchenware
Mountain View, Convenient location-near by shops and resturants
Unclean rooms, there is mould on the curtains, toilet was alwyas wet with condensation. The pictures shown on booking.com are different to the room we got. When asked the explanation from motel was we cannot upload pictures of every room but the facalities are same. The room provided was no where near as advertised on booking.com- no shower cubicle, no proper chairs, size seemed different. The motel was not even full, they could have easily changed or accommodated into better room but did not care.
Pity the restaurant want open for meals
Everything in one room...not having to share the bathroom with other people
Budget price accommodation was OK, location good
Extremely musty smell in all the rooms, obviously a damp problem within the walls, that needs to be addressed. Need at least a strong chair to sit on instead of wobbly old brown one. Bit poor only 1 teaspoon provided in each room, when accom is for 2. More attention to detail when cleaning rooms, we had an opened carton of milk in fridge, left by previous guest!! No air-conditioning, needs at least a split system on the wall. Comparing the same price for overnight in other places we stayed in Tasmania, yours was way below standard, comparing them.
Parking right outside room, the food in the restaurant was very good almost a la carte which felt odd as the restaurant is not aesthetic. It was well priced food plus a good wine list
It's ready for a refurb, rooms as tired
Sorry I didnt get all the names (long tiring drive from Hobart). From the lady that did the easy no fuss check in, plus another lady that put me in a lovely quiet window seat to another lady that found me an iron. I appreciated you all
Nothing. It was lovely
Queenstown is a mining town with tourism rather than a major tourist destination. Thought of that way it is great. The motel was clean, staff friendly. Lots of mine workers staying there - not a problem
Staff were excellent, very helpful especially with the late check-in time. Good parking onsite in front of Unit. Quiet, no noise interference from adjoining Units.
Beds were not as comfortable as some other accommodation we experienced on this trip. It was a family Unit, with all beds in the one room, so not overly spacious and one of the mattresses was quite uncomfortable and not suitable for a larger teenager. But overall, as a budget-priced accommodation, it was as expected.
The location and outlook.
No air conditioning and had to ask for a fan. The whole place is tired and needs updating. It’s not progressed much from being the first motel in the town for prospectors.
The food in the restaurant was ok
The room was very old and tired, hot water took forever to get hot, very claustrophobic as there were no windows and no air con.
The property was good for its age, clean and comfortable
Could do with double glazed windows, and split systems. The restaurant was great, the waitresses were fanatics for the amount of patrons including a bus load . There were two managers that were sitting having dinner watching the waitresses the lady manger got up and gave them a hand but the male just sat there shaking his head. If he had got up and served at the bar for 10 minutes instead of leaving 3 staff to deal with taking orders serving the bar ,bringing out orders cleaning tables ,it would of run a lot smoother, either that or employ a bar tender.
Didn't have breakfast. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. The room and decor was very tired. The fittings were old and in need of replacement. With doors open the toilet was visible from outside.
