Best Western Burnie - Murchison Lodge

Just off the highway, however far enough away not to hear the traffic. Easy to find. The manager was extremely helpful & had a lot of local knowledge. The bed was comfy, shower was good.

The restaurant was closed while we were there.

The room was vey comfortable, clean and wifi worked well. Staff were particularly helpful and friendly as well as being flexible. We arrived late at 8pm due to a flat tyre and attempt at Duck Bill Platypus watching and we were checked in quickly. The host gave us restaurant recommendations for this late hour and we got in, the restaurant staying open after we called ahead. In the morning we had not pre-ordered breakfast in the rush to eat, however, we were quickly supplied with an adequate continental breakfast. We had a great recommendation for a tyre repair shop. Particularly good customer service.

There is plenty of off-street parking. Big clean room. Great location out of town, but it is still very convenient to access town and beach. Jetty restaurant has new owners who are doing a great job getting it up and running.

Room 9 door rattles when it was windy and also the door the the bathroom was missing so the fluro lights were shining into the bedroom at night

Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. What more could you want? The location was lovely great too. Close to Burnie but far enough out to be quiet with lovely walks just across the road. Would definitely recommend.

The management and staff are so friendly and knowledgeable about the area, we only booked for 1 night but ended up staying 3 nights. Great location, walk to the river and beach. The Jetty restaurant that is attached to the motel is a great place to eat and extremely handy.
