Somerset Hotel

Easy to find, near to what we needed, friendly greeting when we arrived, comfy bed and overall quiet.

Initially while gaming room downstairs was open, we could smell smoke coming upstairs from the smoker's room. It eventually went away. Easy access to the car park was directly through the poker machine area - felt like we were disturbing people.

They provide an electric heat pad for the bed, which was the nicest surprise I could imagine in a hotel. The room had a fridge, microwave, kettle, and even plates and cutlery, which made the stay very convenient. The bar staff member who helped me at check-in was also quite lovely.

It might be nice to have some hooks in the room where I can hang my jacket. (It might vary from room to room)Also, the blinds for the window could be improved. Since my room was facing the road, I wanted to close them properly, but it was a little difficult.

Excellent value, clean and very comfortable. Staff were also very helpful and kind.

Good location as we liked the burnie area. Hotel was locked when we got there and in darkness would be nice if it felt somewhat welcoming. This added to a haunted vibe of the hotel.

The room was very comfortable and clean .great shower,clean comfy linen. Very helpful friendly staff 10/10. We will return

Not much room but all i needed

Staff were incredibly welcoming and the property was not only easy to access but had great options for parking. Despite being on my own I felt safe and the room was very comfortable. The noise from the pub and bottle shop didn't bother me at all and at night it was really nice and quiet. Shower had good pressure and temperature, bed was warm and comfortable, stairs to access the room was an easy climb and if anybody else was staying there I wouldn't have known!

I would have liked an extra lock on the door for more security but I did feel safe in my room so it wasn't a big deal. One of my washcloths had a make-up stain on it (I don't wear makeup so I know it wasn't mine) -other than that the towels and linen were spotless.

A hidden gem behind an older facade. Welcoming staff. Immaculately clean rooms (very large). Excellent in room facilities. Exceptional value for money. 10 minute walk to the beach. Will definitely stay here again next time we are visiting the North West Coast.

It was nice and cosy, but there were long black hairs throughout the bathroom, in the linen, and in the towels.

Perfect place to stop over between Cradle Mountain and The Tarkine. A little shopping centre within walking distance for purchase of supplies for the night.

Lovely clean and spacious room

The rooms were excellent, very clean and comfortable.

According to our booking, we had reserved 3 standard queen rooms and 1 standard queen plus single, but we were provided with 4 standard queen rooms. This discrepancy caused some inconvenience as we had three elderly ladies sharing a queen bed.We did phone on arrival to advise this issue, but were told there was nothing that could be done as there were no other vacant rooms available.This was very disappointing and we did book well in advance.

Great price location. The rooms were very modern and comfortable. Was very quiet. Definitely go back.

Unfortunately the pub didn’t serve meals

Modern newly renovated rooms. Excellent bathroom. Well appointed rooms, full sized kettle, toaster, microwave, large bar fridge, cutlery, crockery, iron and ironing board. There was air conditioning free fast WiFi and TV.

Great rooms, recently renovated, spacious, with everything you need. Excellent value. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

They don't do meals at the hotel. And there is only a fish and chips shop and one Chinese restaurant nearby.

Lovely refurbished room

Struggled a bit with stairs as I have few medical issues. Not so good for anyone who can't do stairs.

The room was cute. It has the necessary amenities. The staff is very friendly. It has a pub (?) on the first floor which I unfortunately didn't have time to explore. The location is great, near the beach. Next to it is a Chinese restaurant that serves good food.

It was kinda hard to find the reception. For future guests: If you think that the door to the pub is the right door, yes it actually is. Just get inside the pub & look for the receptionist at the bar.

Stayed here for a night stay, lovely staff, nice, clean place, not expensive, highly recommended
