    • The hotel was wonderful. The ocean view from our room was magnificent. The hotel is quiet and just across from the lovely beach. The breakfast was beyond excellent! It was sumptuous, with Indian and Western items, and very well prepared. Our only reservation: the staff was somewhat varied: some staff were fine; others, less welcoming and helpful. The stay was more costly than others in our trip but worth it for the ambiance, views, and ... breakfast!
    • clean, well situated and courteous staff.
    • Great location across from the beach and a five minute walk to the medina. Professional and polite staff. The hotel is undergoing some work but it didn't interfere with our stay. The hotel lounge/bar was a nice place to relax after walking around all day. The poolside area is nice and well kept. The entire staff is very polite and professional. The restaurant is across the street on the beach and it was very good.

    Cons -

    • The elevator is located far away from reception for some reason. It may be due to the renovation going on.
    • The WI-FI was very spotty. We stayed at four different family-run Riads in various cities in Morocco, all of which had better Wi-Fi.
    • Good will doesn’t solve problems, to start we made a reservation for a different day, it was made months in advance, I know it was made as a non refundable reservation, but in order to accommodate our trip itinerary, we had to change the reservation . The request for the cancellation or the possibility of changing te date was made through booking, and they informed us that the property didn’t consent to any refund or change of dates because it was made under a non refundable reservation option, although it was more than a month in advance. Knowing there was no option we made a new reservation for a new date. A few days before we arrived, I received a message from the hotel, through the booking app, indicating that there was some kind or work being done in the pool area and that we could use the Spa facilities instead. Time went by and finally we arrived to the hotel on the 2 of may as reserved, from the outside , the hotel looks nice and the location was really good, ( I have stayed at other M Gallery properties mainly in Asia, and all were excellent hotels). The check in process went smooth,we went to the room on the second floor, but the room was not ready yet (it was past 15:00h , requested check in time) nonetheless, we asked the receptionist for a place to eat something near buy and they directed us to a nice ocean front restaurant where we had surprisingly good seafood. We returned to the hotel, this time we were able to enter the room, leave our luggage and went out to try not to miss the sunset, one of the best things to do in Essaouira. As we leave the room, I noticed the air conditioning was not working properly , (I assumed that they had turned it off while cleaning the room ) opened the balcony door, and I realized that the whole inner courtyard of the hotel was a giant construction site, not only no pool, there was no garden, no anything, everything was under construction, with mechanical tools and lots ot dust, so I closed the balcony .

The best about the property was the location, also breakfast was good

Perfectly located stylish hotel: across the street from the beach, 5 min walk from Medina. Very helpful and friendly staff, nice and cozy bar. The balcony overlooking the ocean is perfect for sunset watching

Unfortunately, the inner yard and a pool were under renovation.Hopefully it won't take long to complete

nice location on the Essaouira beach

Hotel is under construction, half of the hotel including the whole pool area are being reconstructed, very loud, dusty, one cannot use the terrace at all. After very unpleasant discussion with the manager we were granted 30% price reduction, to my opinion, at least 50% would have been appropriate.

Beautiful hotel. We took a room with a balcony and it was so nice to have a full view of the ocean. All the facilities were great. There's a full aquatic center and gym that we made use of. Private beach area was the most appreciated as was the room service for lunch which was reasonably priced for great quality food.Essaouira is a beautiful little town and the Medina is a quick 10 minute walk from the hotel. Unlike the other big cities, we were never approached by vendors so we felt free to browse the many shops. The fortress is a must visit with lots of quaint restaurants.

Staff were very helpful and friendly, breakfast was amazing, unbeatable location.

Perhaps the rooms are a little dated but that didn’t bother us. Pool wasn’t in use as it is being renovated but that was clearly communicated.

Not very much. The beach restaurant was OK, but yet again Ramadan played a big part in the times one could go and eat/drink.

We asked in advance about Ramadan and was told it made little difference - a lie. Everything stopped at 7pm in the hotel. In the resort many, many restaurants and roof top bars were closed for the whole month!! The Pool was being refurbished, which we were not told in advance about. Breakfast was OK but not startling. Room was very drafty and front windows did not keep the rain out. Staff where mostly OK except when there was a dinner hosted by the hotel management when they commanded full attention above the 'paying' guests.

The location is perfect, right in front of the beach. It is close to the old city as well. The staffs were amazing and very helpful. The heated pool was super.

The gym facilities are a bit used, but they work properly.

Excellent in all ways. Love the view! Large buffet selection for breakfast. Easy walking distance to medina, beach, and restaurants. Friendly staff. Will book my clients here again and come back fir my personal trips!

The location, the beach restaurant and the spa pool were great

The main pool was unavailable which we knew before we arrived and the decor and furnishings were all rather dated and tired

Very high level of service from the staff the minute you walk in the door. Beautiful well appointed room with a gorgeous big window onto a terrace overlooking the ocean. Loved the complimentary beach beds in front of the hotel, absolutely fabulous- huge perk of this hotel. Excellent food at the beach restaurant.

Just one little problem. Shower leaked all over the floor - it needs a seal on the bottom of the glass. But the staff cleaned it all up when they came in for the evening service.

They were doing renovations when I was there and I was very sceptical however it made absolutely no difference to the stay apart from accessing the outdoor pool which would be too cold anyway at that time of year the bedrooms offered in as alternative were looking onto the sea and was superbthe staff were amazing and was in the café overlooking the beach and see which was really really excellent. I strongly recommend staying at this hotel. I have stayed here many times before.

Beautiful hotel, exceptional staff always willing to help, spotlessly clean and smells lush, shame the pool was out of action and being refurbed but looking forward to seeing the updated version

    Breakfast was ok.

I ordered dinner via room service. It turned out to not be the actual meal I wanted. I asked the waiter to change the order and he tried to but informed me that the chef in the restaurant said that they were out of the main ingredient, Chicken. It was a lady chef and I could hear her angrily talking to the waiter in the local dialect. She was quite rude. I pushed back to the waiter and he later had to speak to the manager of the chef who prepared the correct order for me. Was not a pleasant situation. However I applaud the persistence of the waiter. He was patient and did his best to correct the situation.

Lovely hotel on the beach. The location is perfect and very walkable. Loved the private beach for the guests. The bed was very big and comfortable. Would stay here again.

I would not personally rate this as a 5 star hotel, details that does not quite qualify the rating e.g. you cannot be a 5 star hotel but offer quests one ply toilet paper...Therefore I think it's over priced.
